Re: Good for Campbell

I'm defintley pulling for JC this year... I think the Raiders are going to be a lot better this season. I don't see them making the playoffs, but I think they'll be competitive and relevant.

Re: Good for Campbell

Very happy for JC! He's simply is not a west coast read theole field type of QB. If Hue Jackson designs the right offense for JC, meaning have him read half the field, have a strong running game and have a lot of play action stuff then he'll be fine. JC is a starter in this league. I think Oak. will have a good running game but at this point they just don't have any wr's that are going to help him.

Re: Good for Campbell

The Raiders will be a tough out this year, I could see them rising up to .500 or so.

Interesting that this is one of the things CP hammered him on. I remember when Shockey left the Giants, Eli really took a step forward in his leadership. Maybe JC can have the same kind of renaissance in Oakland

Re: Good for Campbell

Ok. So good to hear from JC.

BUT I will caution this one simple fact:

The last 2 Redskins Training Camps Peter "I dislike the Redskins" King has had rave reviews about Jason playing very well and making every throw. This is JC's time of year. Now if he can do some of it in a Regular Season football game I may give him a chance for success. BUT we all know better than giving the guy to much credit to perform in Real NFL football games. He can do it in camp but can he do it in a game? As some one who has watched all of Jason's career, I am going out on a limb and say NO.

Re: Good for Campbell

he's still gonna suck in oakland, that OLine is worse than the one from last year, and his receivers suck.

As someone who likes to study QB's and their sucess or failure I feel alot of it has to do with where they go along with just how mature they are. A few guys just can't handle the pressure/limelight/money that comes with being a high draft QB, Russell being one of those types.

I hope Campbell does well we all, at some point in our lives, need a second chance.

I think JaMarcus was in too much of a purple drank stupor to realize where he had been drafted.

yeah...I love how people are in LOVE with campbell now that he is gone. Do you guys not remember him sailing it over WR's heads? Do you not remember that his stats were so good cause he'd tack on about 150 yards in garbage time in the 4th QTR when we were already going to LOSE the game? Or when he fumbled the ball? Or didn't check out of the wrongly called play(by that turd of a coach we had) to the right play?

I love him as a person, he is a class act and a great role model for children..but just b/c you are a nice person doesn't make you an NFL QB. I wish him the best, but don't blow it out of the water and say he was good when he was here...cause he was not good. He was middle of the pack which is also know as medicore.

Ask Aaron Rogers how his OLine was...what kind of numbers did he put up?

We could have said the same thing about Jim Plunkett and how did that turn out? I'm not saying Campbell will be like Plunkett, but you never know. I guess will find out by the end of the season.

Re: Good for Campbell

Nah, I don't think JaMarcus had any pressure. He just was more concerned about raiding the vending machines in the stadium and wearing fur coats than playing football and there wasn't a counterbalance to that in the Raiders organization.

Re: Good for Campbell

Tell me again who JC will throw 2 in oakland? D H B? Chaz Schilens? Come on folks, they better hand it to D-Mac and Mike Bush alot. We all know JC is a decent QB but I could name 15 QB's I'd rather have on my team.
