Hitting Portis on a screen instead of Betts is the answer.
Skins win by 11 pts.
I had that same feeling last week, and look where it got us...
That said, I can never pick against the Skins (I never put money on it), so Skins win 17-13.

Really, Roeth hasn't played that great the past couple games, but the Bus has been rolling (pardon the pun). If we can stop the run, we win...simple as that.....oh, and actually getting into the end zone would help too!

We'd better have Griffin back this week if we expect to contain the Steelers running game. We clearly missed his presence last week.

Look for Mr. Porter and Mr. Farrior to put the lock down on Portis. Thus, making Ramsey throw for another 30 times all for 140 yards, 1 td, and 1 int. Also, plenty of stupid penalties to take us out of the red zone and force viva ah Ola to miss again. Score 23-10 Steelers.

I believe Hall should be back this week, so I guess you could give us 3-6 more points???

If you guys haven't noticed the Steelers have the best D in the NFL and we have one of the worst offense in the NFL. We aren't going to in this battle. Not with our offense at least.

There was a team that went almost a full month without scoring an offensive TD; I think they went over 15 quarters with nothing but field goals from the offense. As I recall, they went 2-2 in that 4 game stretch because the drefense just stoned the other treams cold and scored a TD or two on its own.

That team went on to win the Super Bowl that year; it was the Baltimore Ravens. Really dominant defenses find ways to score if the offense can't

SC, I agree, The reason I say that is that our D is starting to give up point's unlike the Raven's D, and that is when finger pointing happen's, they are going to start looking for an excuse for why their surrending point's, and the first place they will look is the offense, injuries have defiently played a part in it no doubt, but even with those injuries our defense has played well enough to have us 9-0 with a little help from our offense, I do feel 1 of Gibb's greatest attributes as a coach is his ability to keep his team united ala the strike year in 87' I don't think we will see anything like the Giant's 5 or 6 year's ago but they will be thinking it.

Our D isn't too shabby either which is why I think it's going to be a close low scoring game...

I think we can beat the Steelers. We need to be AGGRESSIVE early on and make Ben throw on us. They're corners are mediocre and safeties are bad in coverage. Open up the run with the pass.

The Skins are being looked past good..

Big ben is comming off a bad game it could get worse hurry him from snap one and without his best target he could really strugle . The Stealers still haven't done anything about thier pass defence, I note also Smoot and Springs are being dismissed by many comentators because Randle El and Ward are just so good.

It is all about confidence with the O. There is talent here and if everything starts clicking we could really have an upset here . We ran the Eagles close last week less dropped passes and more focus on the O line it would have been a totally different game.

I wouldn't put the house on the Skins... hell it is the Skins they kind find ways to loose to anyone , but I will be here come sunday night following the game just like every week

yeah, maybe in our dreams we'll win. In all reality, we will probably only win one more game, and it'll be against the Niners. Maybe we win 2 more. Oh well, higher in the draft!

Daseal:

You have said several times that the DBs for the Eagles and the Steelers are not so hot and that the Skins can exploit them. Well we saw that they did not do that with the Eagles very well so let's look at the Steelers.

Pittsburgh has given up fewer yards per game passing than the Redskins - whose defense is praised around here at every opportunity.

Pittsburgh has also given up fewer points per game than the Redskins.

Both teams have 12 INTs for the year so that is a wash. But the Steeleers have produced 4 defensive TDs this year and the Skins have generated ZERO.

So if the Pittsburgh DBs are "mediocre" and "bad" in coverage, how come they have performed at least as well as the Redskins' defense this year?

Is it because the Steelers have 31 sacks and the Skins only have 23? Why isn't that an indication that the Skins DL is "mediocre" and/or "bad" in pass pressure?

Here's what I think is the reality of the situation: The Steelers' defense is very good. It is at least as good as the Skins' defense and maybe better. Can they be beaten? Of course they can, but it is not nearly as simple as asking the Skins to throw the ball long to a bunch of wide receivers who don't get open deep very often.

And as I said elsewhere , keep your eye on Troy Palomalu (sp?) at safety for Pitts. This guy is really, really good!

I am usualy extremely cautous in predicting Redskins wins the past few or 10 years, but I definitely think the Redskins can win this game. The Steelers have played so many big games lately with NE & Philly and then rival Cleveland, so a let down game is very possible. If the Steelers overlook the skins then it can be close. And if the game is close then the Skins will have a chance to win in the 4th quarter. They will need to turn Ramsey loose more than they did against Philly though if any of this is to play out. I will say Redskins 17 Steelers 13

SC, we did get 1 TD off a blocked punt... some sites list that as a defensive touchdown... still i agree that our Dline is the weakest part of our D, they aren't as good as the 2000 ravens, BUT the D is missing a lot of starters right now, and our starting SS is #5 on our safety depth chart...

steelers are missing burress, and i'll take that, but i don't think thats enough... and ben had a bad game last week, kinda doubt he does it two games in a row...
