Re: What does a weekly NFL schedule look like?

Pat Kirwan's new book has a chapter that goes into some nice detail regarding a typical NFL week, and what goes on day to day preparing for games.

Amazon.com: Take Your Eye off the Ball eBook: Pat Kirwan, David Seigerman: Kindle Store

Good read, I recommend it

Totally ridiculous. As Matty said all this stuff could be done in 60 hours. If I were an NFL owner I would kick coaches out of the building. A tired coach isn't a good coach. Plus most of the teams run the same plays over and over and over.

Monday: Off
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Film, Full Pads, focus on position drills
Thursday: Full Pads, Offensive Gameplan, Defensive Gameplan
Friday: Shelves, Continue installing game plan, travel by the end of the day on away weeks
Saturday: Walkthrough
Sunday: Gameday

Again this is just speculation. I was wondering if anyone knew what a team does leading up to a game.
Landry's schedule

Monday: Lift weights
Tuesday: Lift weights
Wednesday: Film, Full Pads, focus on position drills, Lift weights
Thursday: Full Pads, Offensive Gameplan, Defensive Gameplan, Lift weights
Friday: Shelves, Continue installing game plan, travel by the end of the day on away weeks, Lift weights
Saturday: Walkthrough, Lift weights
Sunday: Lift weights, Gameday
