They are probably pondering the same question. How they missed that one. (sorry I meant the Bears)

draft

i think that we make a few trades before the draft, i can see us trading down a few spots 2 grab the guy out of B.C....

We could really use a DE, Daniels is always hurt and Warner and Evans don't really do much plus I wouldn't be suprised if they cut Wynn. Erasmus James should be our pick and if he is gone we should consider Marcus Spears. I think with the later round picks they will look at a bunch of OL. I would LOVE to see us take Derrick Johnson and work out a 3-4 somehow but I don't see that happening

Since the Yahoo! club I've been calling for Wynn departure. All he does every year is lead the D-line in tackles (check the stats). This year he'll finish behind Griffin, but that isn't a slight on his play at all. I'd love it if he had a lower cap number, but it's almost time for me to admit that Renaldo Wynn is a Redskin.

That being said, it isn't time yet. Let's see how they shake out in the combine.

I'm not hating on Wynn, he is playing well but he is getting old and his cap number is pretty big.

Mike Williams. I hate the guy, but he's an awesome receiver. I'd probably trade Coles. I don't know if he'll ever recover for this injury. May as well unload him while we can. He has a pretty big contract.

They must get Mike Williams or some other big play WR. Our WR's are just plain old average. No game breakers among them and usually just catching the ball is a challenge. The defense has been great and the O-line should get better when the injuries heal, but nothing outside of a talent upgrade is going to improve those WR's...

I think they should trade out of the spot and try to pick up an additional 2nd rounder. The cap number for the top 5 players is just ridiculous (see Samuels and Arrington) and unless there is a really special player I just don't think that it is worthwhile.

If we can move down and pick up a tackle, center, and DE, I'd be really happy.

WHAT?!?!! Trade Coles? Not only would the cap hit be huge, but it makes no sense at all to trade our best wideout.

Gardner, if he's signed through next year then see what we can get for him, I'm guessing a 3rd.

Samuels, love him but he has underperformed for the last two years. Time to cut bait, not sure if he's worth a first round pick but stranger things have happened.

Trading down is a possibility, but only if its not with Dallas and only if it nets us a pass rushing defensive end. Otherwise, we have to go offense, offense, offense this draft. We need to get better on the offensive line so I'm guessing a center and left tackle. We have to protect Ramsey on these five and seven step drops. We're set at wideout with Coles, Jacobs, McCants, although if we can add a Mike Williams that may be too much to turn down. We also have to find a power back for short yardage situations, this was a Gibbs strength and our inability to convert on third downs has really handicapped our offense this year.

with his current injuries he's not a great #1, people would actually want him, and TRADES don't bring cap hits... either way, i rather have mike williams and coles our WR aren't fine right now though, at least not if they continue to play like they have currently.

Trades do accelerate the signing bonus and any paid bonuses.

Brud is right, there's no way around cap hits. If someone retires, gets cut or traded, the bonuses come due.

While signing bonuses are outlandish for top spots in the draft, we should not bypass Mike if he is available. We need to draft for the offense, and while nothing is a sure thing- I'd take the probability of him becoming the next TO (without the mouth) without question. This guy was catching and scoring through triple teams! I don't care what level you're playing on... that's dominance.

If he's gone, someone mentioned Aaron Rogers. This kid is the real deal... nice arm and great delivery. If the staff isn't sold on Ramsey for the future of the franchise, competition can only help. Look what happened in San Diego. Rogers and Leinart will go in the top 10 somewhere, but Rogers is the better pro prospect (as much as it pains me to say... just don't let any other Trojans know I said that!).

Bugel and co. seem to have success with linemen found in later rounds... I'm sure we can dig 'em up somewhere... but if BMW is gone when our pick is up, trade down for sure.

This is what will happen if Vinny is still GM. First we won't get Williams he's going to SF 49ers u guys should know that. Samuels will be traded for a second or third round. Not a first because of how we make deals. We will sign someone outlandish like Ricky williams to make an incredible one two punch on paper... but won't come out to nothing, This will make us lose our first or second round pick if its a second round pick we'll draft a tackle to replace Samuel, or we'll overpay a has been who would be out of possition like larry allen or somebody worst.
