Well back then the facilities were to the Raiders advantage. Opposing teams wouldn't bring their star players to arenas for fear of having their stars being eaten by rogue lions that were "accidentally" left out of their cage.

Actually I think they're a pretty good fit. He's an Al Davis dream....a mediocre player with lots of speed.
