I'm sure Shanny would have liked to of had Kellen be his 3rd QB to get a better evaluation on him.
BTW Davis might be worth a late-round flier pick. Although he doesn't have the strongest of arms, he is a 4-year starter, tough, smart, and very accurate.

I like it. Strong possibility we'll end up w/ one of these guys.

I really hope it's not Tannehill unless it's something like Blackmon in the first and Tannehill in the 2nd, and given Tannehill's meteoric rise up draft boards that's not likely to happen. Still this reminds me very loosely of 2005. We have the game changing prospect in RGIII and the nice but not spectacular guy in Tannehill.

Okay so maybe it's not the best comparison but thats basically what I see. One looks like they can make an Aaron Rodgers like impact while the other will be good not great.

Anyway Tannehill reeks of Shanahan man-crush. Great physical tools, willing to learn, and most importantly lots of doubters. Jay Landsman can explain the mind of Shanahan a little better then I can. Take it away Jay.

Replace McNulty with Shanahan.

I just finished it. Season 5 was the hardest to get through because of the drama at the start but it ended up with a very satisfying ending. TV would be so much better off it they adopted the Greek Tragedy style of The Wire.

Not the senior bowl, but this is interesting.

DraftCountdown Scott Wright
#Redskins fans should note that Mike Shanahan will be coaching Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill at the #SeniorBowl. Possible target in Round 2?

I think this gives Shanny, not so much the opportunity to see Tannehill up close and personal, but create the perception on draft day that he's not willing to break the bank to move up for RG3, because Tannehill was "his guy" all along.

So if this foot injury is bad enough to keep him out of the Senior Bowl, but not so bad that it's a big issue for many months...that could be great for us come draft weekend

This has "snake bitten" written all over it.

I say Shanahan sits him out of the Senior Bowl, and then tell the media it was because he couldn't pass the condition test.

He didn't have the cardiovascular endurance to play the game. LOL!

Re: Shanahan and staff to coach in Senior Bowl

I agree this could be good for us. The senior bowl could have been an opportunity for Shanny to be sure he liked him but if he liked what he saw then chances are the rest of the league would have liked it to. This way there will be no hype around him and he could settle in to that 2nd round range where he was originally thought to belong. Another option if they can't trade up for Luck/RG3...
