Another punter or kicker tomorrow or Saturday too.

Their fans seem to want Barron but he won't be there for them to pick.

Why don't we already have a thread titled "With the Second Overall Pick The Redskins Select...Robert Griffin III"

No sense in waiting.

Because then you'd have a significant amount of egg on your face when you realize that this whole thing is a smokescreen to draft Ryan Tannehill...

Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread

Anticlimactic? No way, been waiting for this day since Rypien left!

I'm still pumped. Wore my Redskins tie into the office this morning. Usually save it for after wins on Mondays, but I broke it out in April this year!

My boss, a Ravens fan even commented on how exciting it is for RG3 to go to DC.

It's a great day.

Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1

Without a doubt this is the most excited I've ever been for a draft. And yet, I have to keep reminding myself, it's not just about having a franchise quarterback too. He plays a large part in the equation of winning Super Bowls, but he is not the be-all end-all of winning in the NFL. Which is why rounds 3-7 are just as important.

I'm excited right about now. This day took so loooonnnnnnnnggggg to come. The draft is finally here. The reason the Redskins had to give up two 1st round picks is because Matt Barkley decided to stay at USC. If he declared for the draft, the Redskins would have been able to pick him at 6th overall. But it didn't happen that way. I'd rather have Griffin III anyhow.

I was so happy Barkley went back. I didn't want no part of him in Washington. Yeah we gave up a lot to get RG 3, however we have a legit game changing QB. They type of player that make defense lose sleep. Washington will be relevant again.

I thing Barkley has USC bust all over him.

Tonight when the Skins make their pick, I will eat three red grapes to commemorate the occasion.

Then I might just pound a few brews to celebrate! Hail to the Redskins!!!

Re: 2012 Redskins Draft Day Thread: Round 1

I'm heading to OC right after I leave the office, so I really hope I make it there in time to see RGIII put on the Redskins hat for the first time! I'll be cutting it a little close, but if I don't stop for dinner I should be good to go.
