Re: RG3 impresses on first day of practice with Redskins vets

Griffin likes playing the role of pocket passer and by all accounts he's done very well at it. I don't really doubt Griffin's ability, intelligence and/or work ethic at this point. Hopefully is maturity is on par w/ his other qualities because a rookie season, especially in DC, can be downright overwhelming.

That's why I'm looking for analysis of the oline's performance through the off-season. A good to great oline should make Griffin's rookie campaign much easier.

Let's just hope he doesn't come in here and read some of the suicidal comments after a loss :-)

It's OTA's. Beck and Grossman looked good in OTA's, and even in the pre season. None of it matters until the pads are on. But good to see RG3 is picking up the playbook quickly.

With a player of his potential playing in a west coast style of offense, Griffin III should do well. The fact that Mike Shanahan saw enough of him in rookie mini camp to name him the starting quarterback was going to happen eventually, but I expected Shanahan to name Griffin III the starter sometime during the preseason. I really thought Grossman would start the season at QB and eventually Griffin III would soon start sort of like what the Giants did with Eli Manning in 2004. But he's the starting quarterback now and it's good that he's learning the playbook quickly and gaining valuable experience in running the plays with the veterans at this early juncture.

I agree, besides we know what Rex can do. It would be redundant having Rex throw passes to players like Anthony Armstrong at this point. If need be, Rex can be thrown in at any moment and you would get the same results: good Rex or interception.

RG3 was the starter from the second his name was called at the draft.

Putting Rex out there again would be a waste of everyone's time.

Could've been alphabetical by last name, if they aren't right next to each other.

Or since London Fletcher is the undisputed leader of the entire team Griffin III's locker being next to his was probably meant to be an influential move for Griffin III to take in Fletcher's leadership and respectability that may rub off on Griffin III and could very well have the most of positive influences on our young starting quarterback.

If it were alphabetical, aren't you ignoring a lot of other players on the roster?

Because Gano, Garcon, Golston, and Gomes are just a few names in between Fletcher and Griffin
