Re: London Fletcher - "Fans, be louder"

weren't they also able to "sneak" the diesel horn into rfk?

has anyone been to a ravens game? i haven't been in several years, but they do a great audio/visual job to help keep fans involved.

ravens example: when the ravens would get a 1st down, they played some video w chains moving and audio of chains clanking, i don't remember them playing any commercials during the actual game.

redskins example: redskins get a 1st down, they play a commercial for a local bank, really inspiring stuff.

lame

Re: London Fletcher - "Fans, be louder"

There are 3 reasons that FedEx is not that loud:
1. The amount of opposing fans (there were a ton of Vikings fans in my section). I was in the mens room when I heard cheering, I knew the vikes were close to scoring. I thought we had intercepted again, but the vikings TE scored. The cheering was so loud I thought it was for the skins.
2. The club level is never sold out, most of the attendees are corporate types that are not going to cheer.
3. The open roof and design doesnt create the acoustic bounce back that stadiums like RFK used to.

If we keep winning the opposing fans will start to have trouble buying tickets.

That's the best way to get rid of the cheers from the opposing fans. Ultimately it will make our stadium LOUDER!

Thats the two most pressing issues. When I see film of old RFK rocking it looks full of hard core middle class die hards. Die hards have a hard time explaining spending so much geetus going to a game with economic struggles at home. It showed an endzone shot from behind the offense yesterday during an important Vikings drive in the 4th quarter you could see the stands behind the defense everyone was sitting there like they were in church. Jerry world has it worse by far full of cocaine and boob job types that dont have a clue about fb they treat going to a game like a vacation experience.

That's the key. The NFL has out priced the very people and fans that made the game great. Games like the Super Bowl are now full of corporate sponsors or people who mortgage a small loan just to go. Throw in the fact they make you pay full price for 2 preseason games and add in parking and it's not really financially smart(or emotionally rewarding) to invest in season tickets.

Making tickets cheaper wont keep the people already attending games from going.

Re: London Fletcher - "Fans, be louder"

Probably another reason why fans no longer want to attend games.

OTL: NFL Fan Violence - ESPN Video - ESPN

I thought we had intercepted, also. Another problem is our fans dont all know when to cheer. I just got upgraded to section 130 row 2. Those fans flip out as soon as you stand up. Honestly, I want to stand up the whole time the defense is on the field and yell. Half the time those fans are yelling when the offense is on the field. And yes there were allot of Vicking fans. But that was the first game I saw allot of oppsing fans. The thing that will make FEDEX LOUD IS WINNING CONSISTANTLY, WINNING!!!!

I agree completely on the cheering at the wrong times. people should be sitting quiet while the skins are on offense and standing yelling while on defense. We got these RG3 chants going on while we are trying to call a play at the line of scrimmage. Rediculous. Soon as the team gets back in the huddle those RG3 chants need to stop.

Re: London Fletcher - "Fans, be louder"

No offense to the people commenting here, but there is no science to the lack of home field advantage. The Redskins have been most of the time a subpar team in the past decade, so fans are not willing to put up all that money to go games.

Now that we have a superstar in the making and hopefully a winning team things are going to change.

Re: London Fletcher - "Fans, be louder"

I hear what your saying Ruhskins, everyone loves a winner. Hope we can string together a few 12+ win seasons together and see what the turnout looks like.
