This does suck but let's try to be reasonable. Gregg Williams probably has a good idea of exactly what he's worth to us and what it's worth to not have him playing us twice a year. He has a better idea of Pierce's worth than the Giants do, I would think. Let's wait and see what happens for sure. I'm sure the Danny would be willing to fork out the dough if either Gibbs or Williams thought he was worth it

If Barrow gets healthy, we're still fine. He averaged 124 tackles in 15.5 games per year in his previous four years with the Giants. I will assume that if we don't re-sign Pierce that this could be the case or that the Skins have other plans.

Hey until I hear inks hit the paper I don't wanna get too down, but never the less a little unnerving. 6 years at $26 million isn't really all too unreasonable or anything. If you really think about what some other players are getting paid.

With a $6.5 million dollar bonus I would figure that the cap number for this year wouldn't be too unreasonable either, but maybe someone can tell me what kind of cap money that would take up this year...

Skins should match. This is chump change money and he is worth it. I bet the Giant contract is back loaded. The real question is how good will he be? In two to three years he might command 15+ million signing bonus.

Theoretically I would rather have pierce and smoot, but I would rather let go of pierce than smoot

Continuity is always a better option. Getting up to speed takes time. You can't just throw someone in and expect them to perform from the get go. I'd rather keep Pierce and Smoot.
