He is a smart veteran that keeps his nose clean. I have no problem with him being a third or fourth wr that brings a leadership role to the team. Not sure what he would cost, but if his price is rite and he is willing than bring him back. Everyone talks about his drops but there are alot of times that he seems to make those big catches to move the chains. I am a graduate of the U so i am a bit bias, but i honestly think he could be a nice piece if we could field a winning team.

Sorry man, he killed the team in 2013, dropped many crucial receptions. Rather give the roster spot to someone that will produce and is young with potential to grow.

Agreed

Its just unrealistic to have a young promising player at every position. Also the killing of the team was a group effort in 2013. Lol
Whatever is best for the team though.

If this was a team that was a contender I would say keep Moss or let him compete for a spot. Not the case though. Can't keep old guys around when you're trying to get better.

Every team in the league has vets - whether they are contenders or not. It all boils down to how much money he will make, and is there someone better ( young or old)? It is silly to me to say he is old so cut him. If he is good for the young guys, locker room, and culture than let him at least compete for a spot. He has earned it.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings

One thing that is different for the Skins than in the last decade probably. Cap space should have minimal bearing on the talent brought in. I don't mean that contracts shouldn't be written to maximize space, but bottomline, every player brought in should be paid and kept based on matching their salary, with their expected play for our team.

That means that if they choose to keep Moss, at the right contract, and let him have a shot at making the team, than that's fine with me. We need to see how the crew described in the FO thread is going to go about evaluating and selecting players. For once, in a very long time, cap space will have very little to do with that decision.

So do we know if Moss has contract and the details of it?

People want to get rid of Moss but keep Cousins? Cousins looked terrible against the worse defenses in the league. Moss is a true Redskins, Cousins is a journey man. Everybody's back up. Everybody's hoe.

Re: Redskins Free Agent Re-Signings

There's no reason we can't re-sign Moss to a cheap deal and have him continue as a rotational WR. It's not like he will have much of a market at all and it will be worth it just to have him in the WR room with the younger WRs.

Agreed. Not to mention our depth is severely lacking at wr.

My perception last year was the opposite: the young bucks dropped killer balls - see Robinson against Detroit for just one example - and Moss was the surehanded one in the group not named Garcon. But fair to your point, saying that Tana has the best hands is not saying much.
