We all will probably agree that lossing Smoot hurt a bit but the time has come that we show discipline in our contract negotiations. Its just to bad we did not show this discipline when we signed those players in the past and we all know which players I'm talking about. Rock is not the most talented player on the field but he plays hard and gives it his all and earns his pay check every week. If we could say that every player on our team did this (I mean earn what they are being paid) we would have won alot more games over the past few years

Come on, who doesn't like Rock. And seriously, you're going to bitch about our third-string back? Get real, Rock rules.

Re: Skins Re-sign the Rock

Let me suggest - ever so gently of course - that the appearance of a thread on a Redskins' website announcing and praising and glorying in the resigning of a never-used running back who is also a good-but-not-outstanding kick coverage team member MIGHT be considered overhyping.

Rock Cartwright will not embarrass the Redskins if they keep him on special teams; he hustles and works hard.

By the same token, if the Redskins make the playoffs and win a game in the playoffs this year, it will not be on the basis of a season-long monumental effort on Cartwright's part.

His signing may make some folks here feel good but it is inconsequential.
