Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
It's just a dumb discussion (sorry). RG3 is completely lost even after two years in an offense predicated on timing. Well guess who else's offense is predicated on timing, Jason Garrett's. So he's going to go in there cold and be any better than he was here?
Even if he was fast at picking up the playbook he'd still need time to do so. And he's ever so clearly not fast at it. There's no chance this happens and it's dumb to even postulate about it.

How much would we have to give Dallas, to take Griffin and his whole contract off our hands?

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Why not? It's not like he can actually do well in any of those offenses. He isn't magically going to gain pocket presence or be able to read defenses and make line adjustments.

That said Dallas would have to be pretty dumb to make a move for a guy who's clearly not ready to contribute this year. |

Trade him to whoever offers the most for him.
We should worry about the quality of our team before anything else. We have a dude that can draft football players now. |

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Would be hilarious if Jerruh made us an offer that we couldn't refuse.

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Let me see... if somebody trades for him
they pick up his contract, freeing up cap space that we could add someone who might be Active on game day we get a high draft pick in return, that our talented GM turns into a Big Nasty the drama leaves the team Yep....count me in. One thought about keeping him in the division is that his Dad might find his way into the locker room in times of trouble ![]() |

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
I just don't think anyone trades for him. He will only be signed by another NFL team once someone can get him for bare minimum. The NFL knows he's damaged goods, and would likely only have value as a good backup / spot starter. He does not have the health to last 16 games...

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
Won't happen.. Just because RG3 is garbage here doesn't mean 2 years from now he isn't thriving in a different environment. I don't think it will happen but there's no reason to put yourself in the position of facing him later if he does work out there. A slim chance is a chance. No one is going to take the risk. Not for our top rival. 30 other teams? sure..

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
its folks like us talking about this that creates the RGlll distraction! as far as a person I like RGlll and wish him a happy and long life…BUT he is never going to be the QB we wished for..yes for that first year he was a star…but he turned out to be a shooting star. There is not a team that would give up a number 2 pick unless Vinny is still a GM!

Re: Trade RG3 to Dallas?
I like to talk about RG3, in the way that you and your friends talk about an old crazy ex-girlfriend; she was fun for awhile, then she got weird and she started doing shit you hated. So you break up, forget about the fact she ever existed and every now and then you have those "Remember when my old crazy ex did..." moments. You get irritated, or laugh, or roll your eyes... Then you thank God you're married to your current wife and not that old broad in the past and keep it moving.
