Coaching makes a difference and the Ravens have a proven coach.

Re: Skins vs Ravens prediction thread

I predict that if Kerrigan, Breeland, & Cravens can't suit up, they don't beat the Ravens on the road. This defense struggles enough when fairly healthy, let alone with three key guys out. 30-23 Baltimore

I predict if we get these guys back for Sunday, then it's a WIN despite the fact that this team has only won three or more games in a row two times since 2008 (uggh)... 27-20 Washington

I also predict that at least one Redskins fan gets their ass kicked in the parking lot, win or lose.

Norman can match up on smaller receivers, so while I do worry about the run a bit, their offensive line isn't as good as the Browns (weird to say).

EDIT: Just checked some stats because I'm speaking only on the eye test. They're #1 overall in defense? I'm SHOCKED.
Yeah really surprised about their defense, 1st overall, 3rd against the pass, 5th against the run... didn't expect that.

If KC is in a great day we can pull off this one, their offense is average in everything and they're not sure where they're going at RB...

HTTR, this is winnable, hard one, but winnable, I say ravens<giants...

This would be the first team with a legitimate winning record KC and crew beat.
Not this week though. Ravens 38 Skins 20.

Honestly, no. Look at them against Minnesota - they just aren't a good team and I think that's going to get more pronounced as the year goes on.

I don't disagree with that, but I do not think the Ravens are a lot better (if at all). They beat the 2-2 Bills 13-7 (and, yes, I know what the Bills just did, but they have had some clunkers too), 0-4 Browns 25-20 (after being down 20-0), 1-3 Jags 19-17 (no real achievement there), and lost to the only team that they have played with a winning record in the 3-1 Raiders (at home) 28-27.

Don't get me wrong, the ravens can definitely beat us. But no one should fear that team. Their great D has had to play the likes of the Bills, Jags, and Browns in the first 4 weeks -- a good defense ought to keep the points and yard totals low.

I think the start of the season was an aberration. Browns, bills , jags. Meh. What did you mean "here we go again"? Lol.
Also their coach is better than ours right now. No doubt. I think our team is better though.

Re: Skins vs Ravens prediction thread

Id say to this point we have been more impressive than Baltimore. We beat the Browns worse than them, and the Giants > Bills or Jags. We should have beaten Dallas. They should have beaten the Raiders. None of this means anything on Sunday, but to say the Ravens have been impressive and the Giants and Skins have been less impressive is not accurate imo,...

Re: Skins vs Ravens prediction thread

It all comes down to KC and the run defense. We had receives open on Pittsburgh and he missed the throws. We should have scored 30 on them and we didn't. I think KC is fine; 300 yards 3 TD and 1 INT.

We are not fixing the run defense until next year or the following year. If Norman sits on their number 1 receiver the secondary should be ok.

If we are plus two in turnovers we will win. 31 - 28 nail bitter.

If we are even or lose the turn over battle; Ravens 38 Skins 24.

Well holy crap, I wish McVay would take a look at this (empty backfield geez):

FOOTBALL OUTSIDERS: Innovative Statistics, Intelligent Analysis | 2016 OFFENSIVE LINES

Our OL is number 2 in run blocking based on the F.O. metrics.

In two years, we have developed a top 10 offensive line. There is a possibility we have two lineman in the Pro Bowl.

Really no shame in losing to the Vikings at home. They're a pretty damn good team.
