We definitely do have the talent as we are legitimately 3 plays away from being 7-1, we just have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot and clear up the red zone problem, also we need to hide Matt Jones's helmet forever

Shameless self-promotion. It is what it is.

Re: Bye Week

Suddenly Minnesota and GB seem like very winnable games. Damn you TW for casting a cloud of doubt. Or maybe that cloud is from the bong. Either way....

Re: Bye Week

I'm actually more nervous about the next Dallas game than I am the game against the Vikings and Packers.

Of course. As of now it os clearly the toughest of the three. Short week, better team. However if we are 4-5-1 and Dallas is 9-1 it will not really matter. Every game is a playoff game in the second half. Lets take care of Minnesota first and foremost
Edit: i mean better team than minny and gb not us.

Re: Bye Week

I think Minnesota is very beatable, but I still think GB could be the old GB at any time.

Re: Bye Week

I think we can dance with Minny and GB too.
But we wont beat Dallas without a far more serious pass rush.
It grinds my gears to think they may be cruising for a super bowl appearance.

Re: Bye Week

I agree. I just thought they were FINALLY due for years of mediocrity or worse. With the way the NFC is, I just don't see anyone besides maybe Seattle that could take them out.

Re: Bye Week

Is it just me or were we one bad throw away from beating them. Sure Dak has gotten better but so has KC. Im simply worried about traveling there during a short week, but in no way do i think they are superior to us talent wise.

Yeah but down 2 and a half games to them, you pretty much have to think of us as ruled out of the division title. It would be a heroic comeback at this point to win the division. At this point it's all about the wild card, and ironically that means the Vikings, Packers, Eagles and Giants are all more important games than that Thanksgiving Cowboys game.

Yeah it's not that they're all that good, but they're 2.5 games up on us with 8 to play. Pretty tough mountain to climb.

We can and will go toe to toe with them on Thanksgiving. I think they'd only be favored by 3 or 4 points, basically an even match, Vegas will just give them the 3 points for homefield advantage.

Re: Bye Week

I hope the bye week has given players the time to heal up and recharge the batteries, and they come out angry and determined. It will be paramount that they avoid any further serious injuries to key players (especially can't afford anything on the O-line). The absence of TW for the next four games is the reason they will have to get the running game going - big time. Can't afford to have Cousins take a beating dropping back to pass 40-50 times a game. There is no team on the remaining schedule that this team cannot beat, so the opportunity is there to grab a post season slot. Whether or not they execute is a different story.
