Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
I think weather will be a factor and Washington wins 27-24.

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
I can't tell if you're trolling here as there's no conceivable way we hold Miami to 24 points, unless a wall at FedEx collapses and takes out all of their skill players. (Actually, that could happen.)

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
The Dolphins are the Cowboys of the AFC - Have 8 wins, but only one against a team with a winning record - the suddenly resurgent Broncos.
Their wins = Patriots x 2, Chargers, Giants, Panthers, Raiders, Jets... RR's squad probably wins. I don't know how or why, but since everyone wants them to lose, they'll probably win. Last edited by Chief X_Phackter; 11-29-2023 at 10:36 AM. |

Completely didn’t make that obvious connection when I read Chiefs post. Actually thought that it had some truth to it and there was a chance. But Miami has a better offense so it will probably be 55-20. |

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Well the data is true, but honestly there's probably not much of a chance they win. I just think it would be 'so this team' to win a game like this...one they aren't supposed to win - after losing many that they probably should have won.

They lost to two Super Bowl teams and the bills. Maybe they aren’t Super Bowl ready but they are legit whopping teams asses. We are 1-2 against the 3 worst teams in the nfl. |

Remember what's at stake here: For us, losing could mean winning a better draft position and an easier schedule in 2024. Fear not, for I'm confident that we can lose this or any other game. Just Tank, Baby! |

I don't really care that much about draft position. We'll pick somewhere in the top 10. We'll get a player most think will be really good. Then either he will or he won't. Nothing that happens over the next several weekends will change that. |

I see it a bit differently: The better GM's make more good picks than the other GM's, so they must be hitting at a higher rate than the average rate of 50% for all GM's. Conversely, most of the others must be hitting on picks at a rate less than 50% for the average rate of all GM's to be 50%. So, the answer might be to hire a better GM and give him more picks to work with at, let's assume, a 70% hit rate. That's what Josh Harris seems to be trying to do. Of course, we're both talking at a 30,000 feet level because, as you and i know, drafting a player is much more complex than our basic points of view. |

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
After we traded Sweat, I saw a whole bunch of Bears fans (even after they extended him) clutching their pearls about giving up a 2nd-rounder. I assured them that, based on our historical 'success' with 2nd round picks, we're no threat to embarrass them by pulling a future HOFer out of the hat next year.

Re: Commies vs. Dolphins pregame thread
Only game left I am watching is the Jets game. It is the only game that has potential to bump us down in the draft.
