Re: What Position is Our Weakness
There are plenty of weaknesses I see right now until the season gets going and some questions get answered. Here are mine:
WR: I like this group's potential, but until they get on the field and produce I see them as a question mark. QB: Kinda the same as above, while I have faith in Ramsey and the word coming out of Redskins Park about his improved confidence is great, until he gets on the field and starts putting up some W's, another question mark. The entire offense: We've heard all about the adjustments, the tweaks to the running game, the shotgun, the increased emphasis on the deep ball, etc., well talk is nice but until we see that this offense can consistently put up points, in the back of my mind I'll be concerned. |

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
QB is the main weakness because it's the most important position. Without improved play from the QB position we are going no where.

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
The good thing is Matty, defense last year was what I WAS concerned about. I remember the first game after Portis' touchdown, I was like, "Argh, I hope the D is good this year."
Hopefully we'll get the same surprise this year on the offensive side of the ball.

Ol
Chris Samuels does not have a winning attitude.
He needs to be traded |

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
Until they prove themselves, I am going to see Wide Receiver - but I do think the position will see improvement from last year.

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
I'll go along with the majority and say WR for now, but I firmly believe that they will prove this to be false by the end of the year.
Yes, the D line could use help, particularly a pass rusher at DE, but with how the D played last year (thanks to Coach Williams), I am hesitant to list ANY position on the defense as a major weakness... |

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
1) LG and back ups on OL - Derrick Dockery has been marginal at best, no quality depth. The O line has been under achieveing for years.
2) SS - We have only one dimensional SS's. Either they are good against the run or the pass or blitzing. We do not have an all round good SS. 3) Blocking TE - We do not have a bruiser. 4) Pass rush DE Last edited by Defensewins; 07-01-2005 at 02:54 PM. |

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
Defensewins, I like your point about lacking a bruiser at TE. That was one of our biggest problems last year: not having a "Donny Warren" to pancake defenders. I hope Royal steps up. Maybe Manuel White Jr. will be used at TE or H-B on running plays.

Re: What Position is Our Weakness
I remember Royal being a pretty damn good blocker. He might not be elite, but he is more than adequate. I wouldn't turn my nose up at picking up someone even better than him, but that's when you start getting into some money because I think he does the job without paying him huge bucks.

I guess you don't see much in Israel of Redskin interviews and all around coverage, but Samuels is one of the leaders on this team. Why should he be traded?
