Give Props to Brunell

You have to give props to Mark Brunell. He made some nice deep passes over the middle, distributing the ball nicely between Thrash, Lloyd, Cooley, ARE, Sellers, Betts, and Portis.

Um, no....

He threw passes that were too close to being picked off.

I mean Brunell played a very good game, and yet they are talking trash.

If our D held up, we would have crushed the Boys. Apparently they fail to see the problems with our D. Remember, jedi mindtricks?

almost every qb has 1 or 2 or 3 passes that could of been picked.

that happens all the time

Yeah with no Moss I thought he did a pretty good job. With the defense playing better... not great but better, he showed that he can still get it done. Gotta give the OL some props too, they protected him pretty well.

Dude what are you talking about. Brunnel clearly showed he is the problem on offense. Cowboys should have picked him off twice. Plus, his movement in the pocket is terrible.

He also threw some lasers over the middle, something we haven't seen in some time.

He played average. Yes he made some good passes over the middle. But he also should have two or three picked off. Minus the pass to Cooley at the end of the half he only threw for about 160 yards. That is still not enough and plus the 2ndary are not respecting his arm or the passing game and it's hurting Portis. Too many people lurking around the line of scrimmage. Bottom line they should have lost the game. Dallas handed it to them. Won't be the case next week in Philly.

Why minus the throw to Cooley? Did that not count or something? How about adding the potential yardage he lost when Cooley dropped that ball?

I don't understand why people always want to subtract plays out, I read an article this morning about how Portis ran 22 times for 46 yards (minus the 38 yard TD run). Why is it ok to analyze a performance by subtracting out big plays?? Why do they count any less?

Rant over.

Agreed. It's like "Apart from the win we lost" which never makes sense to me. That run is part of what Portis does. He may run 10 times for short gains but he always seems to bust a biggie to move up the average.
