Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Just heard a report on WFAN radio that Nnamdi "is not basing his decision solely on money, he wants to win a Super Bowl".
This eliminates Dallas. ![]() The Jets have the cap advantage, they're restructured a ton of players and released some just to get Nnamdi. They're let some good players like Brad Smith (and maybe Braylon Edwards) go to other teams so save cap space. Dallas had to make a ton of cuts just to get down TO the ceiling. I don't think they can beat the Jets' offer.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
The hold up with a trade with Broncos wasn't the compensation. Seems like the Broncos were content with a 3rd round pick and a player, the issue was the bonus money Orton wanted. Which, I don't recall the exact number, I don't think was all that much.
So...I would have to think the Redskins would inquire...wouldn't they? As for Nnamdi not going to Dallas, it's just a hunch.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Willis McGahee signed with Denver, 3 years for $7.5m.
Good backup/3DRB behind Moreno.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
mcgahee was basically the goalline option for the ravens this past year. personally i think he is washed up but that contract isnt that bad . . glad we didnt get him. i like that shanny is trying to do what he does, get a bunch of young unknonw runningbacks that fit his system.
i know this question has probably been answered but . . when does carlos rogers, andre carter etc get to sign with other teams?

Michael Jenkins and Jamaal Anderson cut by Atlanta. Wow what a bust Anderson turned out to be. A lot of people around here wanted the Skins to draft him a few years ago...

I was one of those who wanted us to get Anderson. Damn glad that we didn't.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Good pick up by Atlanta.
"ProFootballFocus.com Falcons sign Ray Edwards to a 5 year deal. It made so much sense it just had to happen, even if they were coy about it" That's going to be a heckuva pass rush with Edwards and Abraham.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I don't think the Orton to Miami is a dead deal.
Matt Moore, seriously? Also, they only signed Moore for 2 years, not a commitment to a QB they think is the answer.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Lets start back up the chants, get shanny to call his buddy elway, and get this thing done.
''ORTON, ORTON, ORTON!!!!!" Oh yeah, whoever is running the orton bandwagon sig, put my name on it. Ive been on the orton bandwagon for a while now. 3rd rounder? shit, give em a 3rd and the 6th we got for DM5, considering who the hell we have behind our center............... We have the cap room and the connections are definitely there, just saying......... |
