Re: All things off season 2015.

new rule change - home team cannot replay plays on the jumbotron when there is a flag on the play and a new snap has not taken place yet.

several lions players say officials were looking at the jumbotron prior to picking up the flag. are flags subject to video review? no.

this is kinda like the clock boy letting a few extra seconds tick off in college basketball if it favors the home team ... or the possession arrow not being changed when it should have given possession to the away team (maryland vs duke)

Yup. That would be an excellent rule.

Re: All things off season 2015.

Here's an interesting tidbit:

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/refs-m...152253950.html

one quick question, why is it in the finance section of Yahoo?

Reffing this year either was paid off in some instances or at the least, as abysmal as the replacement refs were, and this is during the playoffs.

Re: All things off season 2015.

I just saw the PI play for the first time. All I can say is Wow!, the guy never turned around, and ran through the receiver. I would say that it just shows that PI should be reviewable, except that I have seen them blow calls after going to replay and then give a bogus justification.

I wasn't aware he was a Cowboys fan until yesterday... didn't think it was possible to have any more disgust for the guy but he pulled it off.

Re: All things off season 2015.

Redskins treat Shanahan at an expensive steakhouse and the 49ers treat Shanahan to Chevy's. I think Shanahan will be the new HC of the 49ers very soon.

Re: All things off season 2015.

A source informed John Middlekauff of 957 The Game Bay Area that Mike Shanahan could be hired as the Bills' general manager with Browns OC Kyle Shanahan as head coach.

We're sorry, Bills fans. This would be brutal. Bills in-name GM Doug Whaley was reported to be leading the search for a new head coach, but it's now been revealed new owner Terry Pegula is conducting interviews. The Bills have requested interviews with as many as 13 head-coaching candidates. The Shanahan duo wouldn't be awful in a head coach-offensive coordinator tandem, but allowing them to make all personnel decisions would be taking a huge leap of faith.

per rotoworld....this would be insane.

Chris Christie part of Dallas Cowboys' 'mojo,' Jerry Jones says - ESPN Dallas

According to the International Business Times, Christie might have violated state ethics rules in accepting a plane ride and tickets from Jones to the game. Public officials have a "zero tolerance policy for acceptance of gifts," from people who have business with the politician. Christie barred New Jersey officials from receiving tickets to event at state-owned venues leading up to last year's Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium.

Christie spokesman Kevin Roberts told NJ.com that Jones picked up the tab for Christie and the governor's family, citing The Code of Conduct for the Governor in which the governor, "may accept gifts, favors, services, gratuities, meals, lodging or travel expenses from relatives or personal friends that are paid for with personal funds."

What a freakin hypocrite. damn

I couldn't agree more. Makes my stomach turn: "He's part of our mojo," Jones said Tuesday on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. "I want him there all the way. I'll tell you, if he's got enough mojo to pull this thing out, he ought to be looked at as president of the United States."

Hopefully, that "mojo" (both for the Cowpukes and Christie) gets the life stomped out of it on the frozen tundra in Lambeau this weekend. Please, oh please Packers -- run up a score.

Hypocrite? I wonder whether it would be considered a crime; that code of conduct quote sounds dubious to me. Ask Bob McDonnell about that.

Does the State of New Jersey or Christie himself have some sort of business relationship with Jerry Jones? Bob McDonnell was accused of taking "gifts" from people that were looking to do business with the state of Va. At that point, it goes from being a gift to being a bribe.

Its not a conflict of interest if no business dealings are present or none appear in the future while he is still in office.
