Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Okay, so Gibbs has a bad season his first year back in the NFL. Realistically, we should have expected him to have a bad 1st year. Then, Gibbs guides us to our first playoff berth in 6 years. I don't think anyone can complain about that. Finally, Gibbs has a bad year in 2006. So, now people are ready to junk him and go back to the pre-Gibbs II era? No thanks, I'll take my chances with a Gibbs.
I feel sick. |

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Can we all at least agree on one thing that we should have to see at FedEx ever again. I'm talking about The Funky Four. I couldn't be more sick of them, especially in games that we're trailing. And the worst part is that the majority of their old ass routine is just a FedEx commercial on the big screens anymore. I really hate them.
I hope I'm not the only one.

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
While I'm terribly dissappointed in this season, I don't really lay everything that happened at Joe Gibbs feet. I truly believe that this team will be ten times better next year. For one Gibbs is not a loser, and you can see that this season has really bothered him. And he desperatlely wants to prove all of the na-sayers wrong. I think that there were many factors that contributed to this sorry ass season.
1.Mark Brunells sorry play 2.Joe Gibbs waiting to long to pull Burnell 3.Injury to CP 4.Injury to SS 5.Who would have thought AA would be that bad 6.GW's defense not playing like they are capable of 7.Joe Gibbs handing over the play calling 8.Too light of a off season and preseason However I think that Gibbs is pissed and you will definetly see a different approach next year. With better results.

He needs to punch Al Saunders (just my opinion).

Too bad Gibbs is a praying man, not a fighting man....

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Hess, If Gibbs has an issue with Al Saunders play calling wouldn't you think he would take over the offense and put Al on the shelf? I don't see Gibbs letting the season go in the tank by sticking with Saunders. But........ Gibbs is loyal to his guys.

As for talent I disagree. Spurrier left this team in shambles. When Gibbs arrived there were 2 legitimate NFL players on this team - Coles and Bailey - and both wanted out. |

- We could have the same record with a decent but soft coach who could never get his players properly focused or motivated. We could put up with this for 7 years, while only tasting the playoffs once. (The Turner Era) - We could hire some flashy college genius to come in here and revolutionize the modern NFL offense. He could totally abandon the defense, while his offensive "blocking" schemes rattle our young QB so much that he never fully recovers. And he could do all this to pad his own ego without giving the slightest thought to the future or stability of our franchise. (The Spurrier Era) - We could hire Dennis Green. |

One word what those teams have that we dont....hope. They have shown that they can build a team with good young talent through the draft and free agency, we have not. Plus, they are still in contention for the playoffs. |

But it bugs me to hear Redskin fans trying to run Gibbs out of town. He is the greatest coach in franchise history. He has 3 rings. The one playoff appearance we've had in 3 years under Gibbs 2.0 matches the one playoff appearance we had in 11 years after he left. But most importantly he cares about the future and stability of our team. |

Re: Im done....Gibbs must go.
Maybe you don't have hope. But don't speak for everyone. I, and I'm sure many others, see a lot of young talent on this team. Campbell, Cooley, Moss, Portis, Lloyd, Taylor, McIntosh, Golston, Washington, (just to name a few)

sean taylor, carlos rogers, chris cooley, jason campbell, marcus washington, santanna moss, clinton portis, they all seem to be young and talented. we were a good team last year, a bad team this year but with gibbs and greg williams running things i have , not only "hope" but "confidence" that we will return to greatness.
