Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
As the the way Green Bay lost. Rodgers played very well, but you aren't going to win to many games with 7 dropped passes and 4 turnovers. Not to mention a shitty defense.

Let me add during the summer there was a bit of banter on here that Joe flacco was still maturing
HA! The Guy has looked sub par all season. He will never be a elite QB

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
Rodgers looked out of sync also,he was missing wide open guys and the drops killed them.I think the week off sure seemed to affect them, and remember Rodgers didnt play the last game also

Touche my good man. Next week I'm definitely a Niner fan. Sorry but I can't root for the Giants again, they got a mulligan in '07 because the Pats were the bigger evil then, but if you give Elisha two rings people will start mentioning HOF in the same sentence as him.

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
This is one of the foulest postseason quartets ever, at least for me. I don't like any of these teams one bit. San Fran cuz their city is a bit nutty. Pats because their fans are obnoxious. Giants because they're division rivals. And the Ravens fans are obnoxious too....

Anybody but the Patriots. I'm tired of people slobbing on Brady's nuts. It's annoying as hell.

It's a bit different with basketball and football. Put Jordan on a shitty team and he could still carry it far as noted by his career. Put Tom Brady or Peyton Manning on a shitty team, and they aren't going very far. It just irks me we want to talk about "the best" and relate the championships with it. You don't get into the hall of fame because of the number of Super Bowl trophies you have. You get into the Hall of Fame based on your body of work you've done over the course of your career and 95% of that comes from regular season. It's a stupid argument because there are so many factors involved with winning a Super Bowl. It's a one game elimination and anybody can be beat so the best team generally doesn't win the Super Bowl as noted by the previous winners. I guess Barry Bonds isn't one of the greatest to ever play the game of MLB because he never won a championship. ![]()

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
I thought it was pretty funny when Eli made the elite claim before the season. I was wrong big time. Eli deserves a ton of credit this season, really outplayed aaron rogers all day.

Green Bay gave away that game. The NYG played a good game but they would not have overcome the Packers had Green Bay not turned the ball over and not dropped so many passes.

Re: Around The NFL - Divisional Round
Every year the NFL reminds me how flawed the BCS is. According to that system the Packers were the top team in the league and based on their performance in the regular season should have been in the championship game automatically. This same Packers team, which dominated the regular season got killed today by the Giants.
By BCS apologist logic it wasn't fair to put the Giants up against the Packers because, well the Giants were hot. And it's not right to put a team like the Giants up against the Packers because god forbid the better team be determined by an on field result.
