Yeah, I finally warmed up to the B&G look, but never could figure out why they didn't keep it all season long.

From everything I have heard, the gold pants are gone.

I'm really disappointed, I loved them!

If that's the case, I'd rather assume just have them wearing their white jerseys on burgundy pants, ala' the glory years.

Reebok gives up NFL, keeps the Mannings | ProFootballTalk

players can't wear reebok shoes?
"And while Nike shoes were still available to be worn by NFL players when Reebok was making the jerseys and pants, Reebok shoes also will be gone, as of 2012."

does that go for any brand? can griff wear his adidas shoes? someone shed light upon my darkness

Why would you want him to spit on his shoes? I think I've had to ask this question before.

Regardless of brand, the players' shoes must match the color of the rest of the team. The NFL also has a ton of rules on shoes:

From Rules link:

  • Players are allowed to choose which brand of shoe they wish to wear.
  • Tape on shoes must be transparent or match the color of the shoes.
  • Personalized messages on shoes is prohibited.
  • The league's uniform policy stipulates that a team must declare itself a "black shoe" team or "white shoe" team prior to the season.
  • Each team is allowed one "accent" color for shoes.
  • NFL teams wearing black shoes must wear black shoelaces, and white-shod teams must wear white laces.
  • Kickers and punters are exempt from shoe color rules.
  • Any shoe worn by a player with an artificial limb must have a kicking surface that conforms to that of a normal kicking shoe.

Yea and I thought some teams had like mostly one color shoe. Remember Portis and his yellow shoes? didnt' they tell him that he had to wear the same color as the rest of the team and if the team all wore yellow then that was fine?

I think the teams can wear whatever color they want so long as they all wear the same color. for some reason the tape issue I thought was to cover up the name brand of shoe not authorized by the league. In other words if the league is using Nike your fine but if you want to wear Reebok then you have to cover up the logo.
