Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Personally, like I have stated before, I don't think we should even entertain acquiring a top QB before we rebuild the line. After Trent goes, we have a bunch of scrubs to deal with. I would rebuild the line next season then draft a QB in 2017. We need new scouting dept folks.

Stop spreading your toxicity. I swear people should be banned for saying stupid shit like "Jay is planning on Robert being injured"
If you honestly believe a football coach wants a QB hurt so he can play another makes you insane.

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Not saying planning on it, but maybe anticipating it. I think last year's drama should have made it plainly evident that Gruden doesn't want RG III to be the starter but is hamstrung by his boss. If RG III really hasn't improved do you think he is going to last past week 6 given our schedule? I don't think coach Gruden wants to see RG III hurt at all, but I think he might be anticipating the odds of Robert going down if there is no significant progression come week 1. I mean face it, if Robert keeps running into the open arms of those Miami Defensive linemen do you think he is going to last long?

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Also that is not toxicity, that is speculation, and not just on my part. Many folks on NFL.com asked that same question during and after the game on the game thread and the RG III injury article thread. I am not the only Skins fan that was outright startled at the inept line play. Gruden stated that the only way Robert loses the starting job is via injury and it is common knowledge that Gruden isn't a big fan, thus an opening for a conspiracy theory of sorts. I don't think Gruden wants him hurt on purpose, he is the best athlete of the 3 QBs out there, but he definitely anticipates it if Robert doesn't show any progression come opening game day.

Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
Griffin is a R/O QB. I don't care if Gruden refuses to play that system or if RGIII refuses to play it. Get rid of them both if this is case.
Gruden has been a subpar coach and while shanahan's downfall is his ego over player personnel (especially when he doesn't know anything about defensive personnel) at least he recognized the only way to succeed with RG was running R/O |

Holy crap where has that guy gone?? On those dropbacks he looks so comfortable,he's sliding away from pressure,he just looks like a totally different qb then he does now.His mechanics and instincts now look like shit compared to then

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
If we want RG3 to be successful this year then we have to start running more of the read option. I do believe he's gotten better as a pocket passer, but he's at his best when we're running the read option. I say let the man go out there and do what he does best and slowly but surely develop his abilities from the pocket. I'm seeing other teams running the read option. Why are we not running it? What do you guys think?

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
seeing we are talking about the OL ..to make matters worse we use our top pick on a Guard..(he can't beat out Morgan for the Tackle spot..and Moses was what a 3rd round pick..) Scherff will have to be a pro bowl player for years to justify the number 5 spot to play Guard.I am glad we drafted a OL but we could have gotten that level of player in the middle of the first round with an added top player say another OL OR TE..

Re: Robert Griffin III ready to turn career around with Redskins in 2015
I keep hearing people say that, but in reality the opposite is true. The biggest hits he's taken has been in the pocket. If anything it looks like he's going to get killed in pocket. And if what you think is true why not make the best of the situation and get the most out of him? In my opinion it's no reason to stop doing what works.
