Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
You guys have to remember SM is not a free agency guy. He said that the day he was hired. Thank god those days over. We're not going to be spending big money on guys like Bulaga, Iupati or Suh. If he was here last year I doubt we even sign Jackson. He's building a team and has a plan. It's going to take time but I'm fine with it. The other way sure as hell didn't work. We know that already....

I'm fine with spending some money on young (mid 20s) free agents in the offensive and defensive lines that can come in and make those units much better than they were in previous years. This team has become too dependent in skills positions and has often overlooked or made bad FA agent/draft acquisition in the trenches. The team has a lot of young players to develop, between the players we have and the ones we'll acquire through the draft.

If you could guarantee BB's health for the next 3 years. Okay.

I saw the same thing. I am expecting that to be the plan.

But yeah, bring in this guy if he's not looking for starter money. Nice rotational player and knows Barry's defense. |

if 2-3 years from now we dont have a legit RT, then we sign a Bulaga type player in FA and hopefully that will be our only missing link at that time. we arent winning a SB next year, bulaga is a final piece type FA move. we just arent there yet. bulaga is not a once in a lifetime FA. every year there is a stud tackle avail in FA or trade cap dump off (peters to eagles). |

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Well all this discussion about Bulaga may be for nothing:
Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 6m6 minutes ago The #Packers are expected to keep OT Bryan Bulaga, source says. They are closing in on a deal. High priority for them.

okay? Seriously though, You can't guarantee anyone's health. TW could go out the first game, what then. I admit, I just want the RT position to be fixed, then we can go through the draft and focus on defense. Moses won't be a solution this year, maybe not next. I don't think we are even looking at BB, so it seems like we are going to go with another cutrate solution, and next year we will be back here again, looking at FA RT and whether we should build through the draft... Right now, before FA starts, we don't have one RT that should be considered for starting Week 1, and our LT is coming off an injury/bad play. But hey, lets sign a second rate guy and watch all our QB's play sack avoidance 101 and keep on throwing those INT's. |

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
Just get me a 1 O-Line,1 safety and 1 CB
The draft is stacked with pass rushers. |

Re: Who should we go for in Free Agency?
I agree on the O-Line (RT) and Safety. Would prefer an ILB who can cover to replace Riley.
