From people around #Redskins Park, the direction it seems to be going suggests Bruce Allen is going to be reassigned,

says.

This is what i expect. A true firing would have had to been announced by now.

I guess Allen has made positive progress with the new stadium plans.. I just cannot see any other reasons why Snyder would want to keep him in the franchise.

Put him in the stadium as a mobile concession vendor and see how often fans throw crap at him.

Hard pass. Let me know when someone more credible/reputable/competent is reporting anything about this.

Yeah thats sounds more like a logical guess .. Dan needs to keep Bruce around to be the face of the new stadium and financing meetings but knows he has to appease the fans by bringing in a new name to be the "football guy".

--------------

Bengals = Redskins imo. 2 of the worst run organizations in sports. Cheap on scouts, cheap on facilities, equipment, trainers etc.

-------
We continued to improve and make strides and so it was just so comforting - coming from Cincinnati, who is a whole nother kind of mess and disaster. So coming from that and then going to Oakland and then all of a sudden, I got to Arizona, I was like, man, this is the NFL. This is how you're supposed to do it. This is right. And it was just so comforting. And so much less stress and pressure.

In order to win in the NFL ... you've got to be desperate to win a championship. You've got to be all in. The financials and the money side of it are very important obviously to owners, and to everybody that's invested in the organization. But if the most important thing is the financials and the second-most important thing is winning, then you don't have a chance. And it's so important that ownership is willing to do what it takes to win. ... If you just kinda sit there and hope that things fall your way, you've got to get really, really lucky to win a championship. But if you're desperate and you're willing to do what it takes and you'll spend to go get this player. ... You've got to be consistently trying to build a championship team. If you're just kinda sitting there and hoping somebody falls in your lap, it's hard to do it that way. You've got to have the ball bounce your way a number of times in the playoffs. And you've got to get lucky here and get lucky there. You look at New England and there's not a lot of luck.

And lot of that is built specifically. You look at what Pittsburgh's done the last 20 years, there's not a lot of luck involved in that ... you look at what Seattle's done, there's not a lot of luck. ... That's not hoping that somebody falls to you in the draft. That's being manipulative of the draft and moving players and churning up rosters and building the right chemistry in the locker room and there's so much that goes into it, it's just not a lucky thing. In order to be successful in the NFL, the organization is of the utmost importance.

^^ Carson Palmer on his time w the bengals

Sorry for the wall of text. I heard Palmer talking about this years ago, always thought it was comparable to the Skins.

This right here!

It all starts with the team owner.

Bengals and Redskins have shitty Owners!

Seattle Seahawks were bottom feeders with only 4 playoff appearances before Paul Allen purchased the team in 1999. They've had 14 playoff season and 3 SB appearances since. They've won with different QBs and Head coaches. They fired Jim Mora JR after one season!!! They know how to cut their losses and move on. Allen knew how to run a business!

Nothing will change for the Redskins with Dan playing GM and his sockpuppets leading the team(Bruce and Doug).

Until Dan stops meddling in player personnel decisions the Redskins will have a very low ceiling. He could turn Bill Belichick into a 8-9 win coach.

How in god's earth do you re assign the Team's President?

This would be typical garbage Redskins move and completely unacceptable.

We have clearly seen this shit before with Vinny and his power struggle when he reassumed his GM status and recently with Bruce as he pushed Scot McC out to reassume his status as the most important voice in the franchise.

we should start burning Snyder effigy in and around town. he's a fucking clown if he would think this is anyway acceptable.

If they don't wipe him completely free of the team, you will see fans drop like flies. There is no reason to keep him around

Some media folks have mentioned Marvin Lewis because he has worked here before and is someone who can come in and work under the circumstances.

I feel like we can do worse.

He had 10 years to do some damage with the Bengals and never could. I feel like that's just bumping your head on 9-7 every other year.
