those near the end of their playing careers r Martin, Faulk, Roaf, Favre, Derrick Brooks and Ty Law. then if these players keep up their production I see these going in: Tomlinson, Manning, Harrison, E. James, Gonazalez, Portis, Boldin, Fitzgerald, R. Moss, Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor, Strahan, Ed Reed, Brady, Mcnabb, Palmer, Hines Ward, Tory Holt, Gates, Crumpler, Heap, Vinateri, Julius Peppers, and Freeney.

a couple coaches that will be first ballot r Belichick and if he wins one more SB Bill Cowher.

and I think it's kinda funny while checking the skins page on espn and I looked at the link for Gibbs' approval rating and the skins r already -4 on their turnover margin and camp hasn't even opened yet.

Boldin isnt' even the best wideout on his team, no way. Crumpler <if you can't be nice...>. Portis, nope. James No. Heap????? McNabb No. Ward No. Freeney no way.

I'd argue that he is. he averaged 100 yards a game last year. fitz averaged 88. Not that that's the only measure, but if you look as price/performance, boldin was also a huge steal.

I'm not saying he'd be a first ballot HoFer, but boldin is a tougher guy to tackle and there's a legitimate arguement for him being an equal or better receiver to fitzgerald.

Yeah i would say they are both equally elite receivers.

maybe crumpler is a bit of a stretch but I'm guessing u missed the part where I said "if these players keep up their current production" cuz if Boldin keeps up his pace and stays healthy like he did last year and his rookie campaign & lasts for say 10 seasons he would retire with about 950+ catches/ 65+ tds/ 13,000+yards which would be pretty darn good and best the stats of some WRS already in the hall. and if portis is fortunate enough to stay healthy and keeps up his productivity for just 6 more years he'd be just shy of 15,000 yards / around 113 TDs / and a 4.5+ ypc average.

Mcnabb statisticaly might make it alone but add in his running ability, taking the eagles to 4 straight NFC championship games among other accomplishments, and the fact he is a media darling I think he gets in. Heap could retire with numbers similar to if not better than Kellen Winslow sr. Freeney could easily finish with 125+ sacks & 50+ forced fumbles. and the easiest player to defend that u dismissed E. James will finish his career with 110+ all purpose tds, 14,000+ rushing yards, 5,000+ recieving yards, & 500+ receptions despite having 2 seasons with serious injuries diminish his stats.
crumpler and ward r stretches I admit but I won't be suprised if ward is in the HOF some day.

Well i deff think portis has a fighting chance.....3 out of his first 4 seasons he has gained over 1500 yards...and the one he didnt still he has 1315....not bad...if he stays healthy i do not see a reason as to why he should not get in first ballot!!!

Staying healthy is a big if with RB's. Currently, James is ahead of Portis in my book and I don't view James as a first ballot guy right now.

Anyone else excited about selling off their old football cards of these Hall of Famers. I need to sell my John Elway rookie, as well as all of my Cowboy rookies I have. I seriously can't wait to unload these things.

I pretty much agree with most of the choices here, some of the receivers are toss-ups to me. I think Moss is the only lock for a first ballot.

I will say that I think if LT only played, and I'm going out on a limb here, another two years like he has he could get in on his fifth season.

well he would have almost 10,000 rushing yards, 3,500 recieving yards,
450+ receptions & 110+ total tds so I don't think it'd be too far of a stretch, but it would be his
7th season as a pro cuz last season was suprisingly enough his 5th season in the league.
