Redskins Sign Vincent (MERGED)

Vincent might be our #2 corner at this point.

I would also look at Marcus Coleman who was let go by Dallas this week.

Carlos Rogers apparently broke his thumb today as well. Should help him catch some of those balls thrown his way now I suppose.

I think getting secondary help of any form right now is essential, especially with this latest injury.

This is desperation time. It's not time to be picky with the way our defense has played.

I would sign him and start him next week.

Troy Vincent is at Redskins Park

Not sure how much it will help at this point, but saw Vincent walk in a few minutes ago. I would imagine they would get a deal done with the DB today. They got in touch with him last week and he knows several of the defensive coaches, so I would expect it to get done.
Will post more when I know it.

Okay, a brief interlude. Now back to the regularly scheduled grumbling and roasting ...

Yeah seriously. We have no depth at CB right now, Springs is no guarantee to returning to 100% anytime soon, and we need to make a move. A guy like Vincent is available and someone actually questions whether it's a good move?

With our current situation it would have been DUMB to not sign him. We really didn't have a choice.

If anything, this signing will hopefully wake up the guys in the secondary into the realization that no one's job is safe.
