It's not likely anyone would trade for Brunell. We have told the whole world (as if they can't see for themselves) that he's done, so why would anyone consider trading for him?

Now, when we consider how JG feels about him, I could see him restructering his contract to slightly more than the vet minimumn and returning to the team as a backup. I don't know that he would accept that, or how well Jason Campbell would take to Brunell being there to oversee his development.

Brunell for a giant ball of lint? Nah, they probably wouldn't go for it. Maybe if we throw in some draft picks.

I don't know whether I love ridiculous threads like this or loathe them.

I guess loathe.

Look at MB numbers I mean come on...he can demand a 1 and 2 round pick with cash and high profile free agents. I mean look at his game against the Titans!! I never seen such good quarterbacking in my life. He was dinking and dumping like he was from another planet. He plays so smart throwing the no risk 3 yard out pass or when he throws the deep ball cocking his arm like a cannon to throw the ball 30 yards its amazing.

Re: Can we shop Brunell?

This has to be the dumbest thread ever started, EVER. OK, keeping with the theme, hey maybe we can trade John Hall for someone's first round pick too. Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket! Im sure the Packers would let go of AJ Hawk for MB, then we trade Hall to someone, but who? Oh yeah, we can trade our kicker to San Diego for Shawn Merriman!!!! What a great idea! Ok, Im going back to the fort in my room built out of quilts and use the red phone to call Vinny. WE ARE ALL SAVED!!!

Re: Can we shop Brunell?

The only team in the NFL dumb enough to make that trade , already has . Three years ago , only one team offerd the Jags a draft pick for Brunnel , and of course as usual , we sent another pick on top of that when every other team knew he was done . He couldn't start for USC , OSU or LSU . I like MB, think he is a great guy but ,,,,,,,,,,, nobody makes that trade

Wher did you get that from its the first I've ever heard that he was considering retirement before this year. I'm not sure of his cap numbers but if we could work out a new deal that was cap friendly I'd like to see him stay as our 2nd guy. That would give us a good mentor for JC and MB would be fresh if needed to play. I think he is not totaly done but he does not have enough to play as a starter. The only problem is if we lost JC early in the year.

Remember that super lame rumor that was going around that Brunell was thinking of retiring?

I think it started when Portis was on NFL Total Access and he jokingly said that Brunell was going to retire due to his broken finger that he got while hunting. People took that joke of a comment and freaking ran with it.
