You are guaranted to get on tv. I would have but a police officer took my sign away.
Also you may want to consider using Portis for the "P" for a less offensive sign!
I very highly doubt that anyone will get on TV with a sign referencing "sucking penis" or "sucking Portis"...

It is a funny idea though.

Also, bringing that to Philly is also a one-way ticket to having gallons of beer dumped on said sign.

I know it's a bit early but I think this is our first MUST win of the season. The Eagles could be a threat down the stretch and I think that we need to put as much distance between them as we can.

Not going to start the thread yet, but what is everyone else feeling about next week after Philly's performance in GB?

It might just be me, but GB has a pretty damn good young defense, which might have helped with how bad Philly played. McNabb didn't look great that's true, but this might be another Dolphins situation next week.

Good news for us (not for them) is Sheppard won't be playing, so that helps our passing game next week.

I think it will all come down to how well our D contains McNabb and Westbrook. If our DBs can cover well and the line can keep Westbrook relatively contained I think we'll win.

I think our offense is good enough, or at least the Eagle's D is bad enough that we'll be able to move the ball and put up some points. It will just come down to stopping their offense.

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles

Last year Philly's run defense sucked, they finished at the bottom of the nfl. Betts put up 173 on them.

I didn't see the stats, did GB put up any #s in the run game? Someone said they passed more.

If their run D is still weak (I know they signed Spikes & replaced Trotter), they're in for a long night. Once again, the identity of the team is w/the running game on both sides of the ball.

My gut tells me that Philly gets a big play early for 7-0 lead, but we regroup & shut them down, 31-10. It will be the beginning of sports radio conversation about the skins this year & the latest drama in philly about McNabb.

The Eagles have the #1 run D in the league right now. Green Bay ran for a measly 46 yards against them, but they only ran it 17 times with Brandon Jackson taking the bulk of the carries, so the stats are probably skewed due to the quality of GB's backs and their O-line. It's hard to tell if Philly's run D will still be as porous as last year's or if they've improved. I guess we'll find out next Monday night.

Re: The Win Tastes good..... now onto monday night vs. Eagles

I think that our defense is faster this year and McNabb is slower due to injuries. Eagles and McNabb always kills our defense so I'm nervous but know we match up well against them.

Their Defense is their strong point and we cannot throw two picks Monday Night and hope to hand on like against the fins. We need to play Joe Gibbs grind it out football with some play action and reverses or screens to Portis or Betts. We have a great rushing attack and need to stick with that all night.

I'm feeling really good about this years team and if we can pull this off we really put Eagles in a hole early.

Did anyone notice Gibbs post game comments where he said they all played their guts out?? LOL!!!!

I never call wins easy, but I think we will see a lot of McNabb the pocket passer than the scrambling McNabb. That is good, one less thing we need to worry about and we should take full advantage. Blitz Fletcher or Rocky on a few plays. Hopefully we can help McNabb enjoy the view of the game from the ground.

I like our chances against the Phillies. The defense needs to keep playing at a high level and Campbell needs to cut down on the bad throws. Not to be totally down on Campbell because he made a few wonderful plays, but he needs to eliminate some of the mistakes. I guess they call that experience.

I love our chances against the Phillies.. The Eagles pose a bit more of a challenge though..

I don't know. Ryan Howard is a beast. We'll have to put Rocky on him

i look at green bay alittle differently. the eagles try to hand them about 28 points, and they kept screwing it up. i think we run all day long on the eagles. and win the game. their receivers are down right pitiful

I think the skins can win if the D plays big and keeps McNabb on the run. However the O has to start doing something to generate points. It will be another close game and until the skins O does something they will all be close games.
