In tell I giant huh? but he also wants Samuels which is a financial dream at this point he will get Clements money so no way we get him and we need Springs at corner especially with Rogers not going to be ready so that is not In tell I giant so signing Hamlin would be smarter (seeing that Hamlin was also a pro bowler this season)

I am not 100 sold on Doughty as a starter. By no means am I saying that safety is our main need but in a situation of Hamlin or Doughty I am taking Hamlin. Doughty is a solid back up to me and nothing more.

We cant give Samuels the kind of contract he wants and still address our needs the way we want to.

i agree with that but i rather just draft a corner. and about putting springs at fs, you always want your faster more athletic safety at free safety in this case Landry

Re: Ken Hamlin - Free Agent!

I think Springs could make a great safety, but I also dont think hes at that point in his career where he should be moved, or would want to be moved from corner. If anything he wants another big corner contract, then move to safety in a few years.

I think we'll draft a corner because its alot cheaper.

Re: Ken Hamlin - Free Agent!

If Pierson Prioleau follows GW to Tenn. as some suspect Doughty may prove to be an important part of what Blache wants to do on defense. He played in all sixteen games last year, though he only started six [plus one playoff game] and recorded fifty tackles.

There has been some concern in the past about Hamlins' ability to cover, I'm not throughly convinced he would be that much of an upgrade over Doughty. I would prefer looking to the draft for depth at S.
