I didn't know there was ever a ship for a Roy Williams trade to DC? Where are you getting that from, I believe that (rumor) get put out right after it started. I certainly doubt that's the closest to a sure thing we can get in the FA market for a WR, probably the most unlikely from certain.

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
He had a high ankle sprain last year which made him miss significant time. Other then that he's only missed a game here and there. Pretty good track record for a WR

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
He's been hurt each of his 3 seasons. Although his first two seasons they were just small nagging injuries.

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
New coach same old personnel philosophy, here we are making a big deal about 2 WR's who are nothing special, did we learn nothing from the Brandon Lloyd signing? I find it hard to believe we can't find a WR in the draft to at least come close to the talent level of these NFL giants? I guess Anthony Mix is nothing more than a special teams guy.
Hackett is an average WR in a very good offensive scheme, the west coast offense has made average WR's look good, and very good WR's look great. But at last we have to have this guy, why? Because Vinny and co. couldnt spot a talented player beyond the top 10 of the draft if their lives depended on it! |

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I'd choose Hackett. Was hoping for a bigger gun at WR like a CJ or Randy Moss just to take the double team off of Santana. Noone should count out Mix as a possible surprise star in 2008!

Everyone's got their eye on him & hopes he's a diamond in the rough. I sure do. Maybe the coaches are banking on him more than they're letting on. Mix really could be a wild card in the decision making of wr corps. He hasn't done anything yet, so it would be hard to put a lot of faith in him, but I hope he steps up & gets some playing time at wr. |

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I hope people aren't disappointed if Mix doesn't turn out to be anything more than a special teamer/reserve WR. Seems like a lot of high hopes with him.

Re: Zorn and Skins to pursue D. J. Hackett
I say we let Cooley, Moss, Randle El, and Caldwell go and start the Ecker, Mann, Mix, and Toler era.
And for good measure bring back Nemo and Casey Bramlett
