Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Jason Campbell deserves game ball. Last week I was doubting his ability to lead this team and make reads and succeed as the starting QB of the Redskins. Today Jason Campbell stepped up, grew up and won the game for the Redskins. His audible call to Moss proved his ability to make decisions and make the big play. Hopefully this will give him the confidence to just go play football and be decisive when it's time to be decisive.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Campbell was pretty damn awesome, but I gotta give it to Horton. Anyone (especially a 7th round rookie in his first start) who swings three turnovers in our favor deserves the gameball no doubt.

Offensive Line. What a dominant performance from a unit that needed one like no other.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Its gotta be the O line as they paved the way for the running game to get going which allowed JC the opportunity to complete some big passes.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
JC gets it hands down. He made some big time plays today. We were backed up 2-20 down by 9 and he ripped one off to Cooley and after that he just got in the zone it seemed. Then the pass to Moss was just a thing of beauty. You could almost see his confidence growing out there.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I voted for JC because I was moments away from a floggin.
While Horton had a big game as well, JC found a way to make plays while plays seemed to find Horton. |

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
Campbell gets it for the clutch pass to Cooley; go ahead TD to Moss; and game clincher to Moss.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I would give a game ball to three people.
Firstly, Jim Zorn. For getting his first win as a head coach and not crumbling when we were down 24-15. He showed a lot of improvement over his first game last week and he also showed trust in JC. Secondly, Jason Campbell. What a great rebound performance from week 1, and he also stepped up and made plays when it mattered. He didn't get down when we were down 24-15 and he looked good. Thirdly, Chris Horton. A 7th round rookie safety starting in place of a vet, and he ends up with 2 picks and a fumble recovery. He had a great day for the most part and for a guy that wasn't exactly expected to make the team it was a great start for him. Oh and I'd also like to give a little props to HB Blades. He started in place of M.W. and he had a solid day all around, especially in stopping the run game.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I won't take credit for thinking of this as I heard it on the radio but how about our training staff for getting the fluids in these players and keepng them on the field. If I'm correct I did not see any players cramping up or becoming dehydrated. Also how about the guys holding up those shades for the players and while I 'm at it how about the beer guys lugging those cold cases of beer up and down the stadium.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
That being said, I went with Moss, although I think the Oline should get it. If not for them no one would have had they day they did.
All in all, again, there is no wrong answer.

Re: Who Gets The Week 2 Game Ball
I chose Campbell, with Horton a close 2nd.
As crappy as he played against the Giants, JC was able to pick himself up by his boot straps and have a very solid game. Making the adjustments he did (including the TD pass to Moss), looking more like the QB is be capable of being, it was a complete 180 from the Giants game. Horton stepped up and played very well in Doughty's absence. 2 picks and a fumble recovery, he helped push the momentum in the right direction.
