Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions

Skins win 2-0 on a London Fletcher forced safety and we're forced to listen to Bill Maas a lot more than we have to.

Seriously though, an absolute shame if we lose this one.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions

I really dont even want to think of the "Any Given Sunday" stuff... like someone else said...this is the LIONS. I'm willing to chalk up one loss a season to an infereior opponent, but once you lose one of those games (Rams), I would think the team would learn their lesson and not slip up again. While the Rams are improving, if we have loses on our schedule to both the Rams and Lions...were really not a team that can seriously contend in the playoffs...

In any event, I was terrifyed all week long before the Rams game because of a letdown, but I dont think its giong to happen again. In fact, this is probaboly the most confident I've been in a game in a really long time.
Redskins 31 Lions 10.

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions

The Rams and Browns are nowhere near the disaster that is the Detroit Lions. Look at what the Skins have done to some of the better QBs in the league this year. Does anyone seriously think that Dan Orlovsky is going to be able to make enough plays to win or even keep the game respectable?

i must have the Joe Gibbs crap imbedded into my brain because I never feel we will or can win going away.

I say we will win, but honestly 17-3 is a good / convincing win for us.

Hey we almost F'd it up last week when we should've shut them out, And they played their best game of the season putting up 21. That being said we maintain focus and pitch the shutout we shoulda has last week 24-0

Re: Redskins vs. Lions predictions

I can't make anything up this week, the Lions are that bad. Usually I try to find the strong spots of the opposing team and make a prediction based on their best outdoing our best. It just can't be done.

Orlovsky is no Jon Kitna. Rudi Johnson and Kevin Smith are averaging 4.3 yards/carry, but when you only average 78 yards/game, the Lions are running less than 20 times a game. They do have Calvin Johnson, but that isn't anything Springs or Rogers can't take care of. Their defense has more holes than swiss cheese, and teams are averaging 42% success on 3rd down. They have 1 interception in their soft secondary.

Portis can't help but get 100+. Rock and Alexander will get mop up duty. Campbell will find open receivers all day. And the defense will squash any hope the Lions have.

Skins 27
Lions 9

CP will have a big game. JC will keep his streak alive. Jump out ahead early and rest some key players for the big Monday night game with Worthlessburger and the dude that looks like a chic with long hair.

I believe in this team, and can't see how they could mess it up(even with the last two weeks). I think Zorn tries to put it all together this week against an opponent that everything should work on. Bottom line score:

Skins 41 - 0 (i'm begging for the shutout)

with most of the work done in the first half.

It won't be a blowout but the Skins will easily dominate the Kittens.

Skins - 27
Kittens - 17

I'm going to be pretty disappointed if they score 17 points on us.
