Hall easily. He should've had 2 picks but Springs got in his way. We need to lock him up next year.

Re: DCPSR Player of the Game
back to point, I voted horton. He played the run extremely well yesterday... and when he blew up a lineman and brandon jacobs at the same time in the backfield it was absolutely beautiful. He's playing some great football. He did take a bad angle on Jacobs but had the sense to re-set and stop him before a first down when jacobs bounced outside once, but he is really strong in run support.

I agree that we should sign hall. I'd want to see a clause in a contract about not acting like a total Ftard, but he can still play well, and we actually have a DB who can catch... its nice :P

in oakland he said he was trying to jump routes to much which may lead to some ints but it also leads to some unnecessary completions. trying to play off a receiver to bait a qb into a throw can be helpful sometimes but it is a "me" attitude not a team first thing. i cant see coach blache teaching this or allowing his players to decide how they should play. when it works great but its one of those things that it'd better work or your ass is grass. kinda like a qb audibling out of an important play; itd better work or else . . . the PF on hall also showed that he is a hot head who loses his cool when hes made to look stupid and puts personal satisfaction over team success. it seems every week now we have an unnecessary PF, our players need to focus. d hall is the player we were told he was when he came here, dont let the ints fool you, he is a liability and doesnt play redskins brand football. |

I agree the guy plays to win, Redskin brand football is all about losing. Cut the guy.

Re: DCPSR Player of the Game
have we fallen in love with d hall already?
he did a great job of hanging onto the ball yesterday but the fact is he was behind the receiver and the receiver had to not catch the ball for it even to get to him . . . yes he gets credit for playing tight coverage there but if the receiver had been looking for the ball and caught it it would be a reception. (haha obviously) his other ints were poorly thrown balls where he was behind/off the receiver either in zone or poor man play. i dont think he would be a good no 2 corner compliment to carlos or worth the money he wants next year. good thing we didnt give JC "eli" type money 6 weeks in when alot of people were talking about a K extension. seems im the only one not feelin hall as a long term member to our franchise so ill shut up about it. a few ints and we overlook or discount his bad plays . . . . |

Re: DCPSR Player of the Game
Oakland's pass defense ranks third in the NFL since DeAngelo Hall was released.
He's got great hands, but if we ever rely on him to be more than a No. 3 CB (and basically just Fred Smoot with ball skills), we're really going to get it. I think the talk of releasing Springs is legitimate and everything, but who is going to be the number two corner if Smoot and Springs go? Hall can't play it, and isn't deserving of an extension at starter money. He'll get it though if he wants it because he's incredibly marketable in the area and his jersey will sell. As a business decision, we are 100% certain to re-sign DeAngelo Hall. The question is: what measures can we take to make sure he doesn't kill us on the football field?

D hall can cover a number 2 reciever for 3 seconds more than 50% of the time... His worth comes down to price. I think Rogers has proven himself to be among the elite in the league, honestly. The guy plays some great coverage and can tackle very well... he just doesnt have any hands. We can't even get pressure with 7-8 men blitzing. There's a huge problem there.

Re: DCPSR Player of the Game
I pick Thomas. That was a hell of a run for our only score. He was given an opportunity and he made the most of it.
