It would be nice to see Rinehart get a look at RT though, if they feel he's ready. |

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
Glad we drafted some good, solid, young depth.
Oh wait, forget it

well i used to do a case of milwaukees best every friday and sat night in college. the ladies couldnt resist a guy walking around with a case of crap beer under his arm and spillage soaking the whole front of his t shirt. (this was around pittsburgh so the woman carried 2 cases with them) not to sidetrack too much, but i would pay $1,000 dollars to bbq with thomas. man he really should throw a big "thank you fan appreciation" bbq thing this summer. the man even bbqs his cookies!!! |

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
I keep hearing that, but we did draft Olinemen, what about Rienhart. Cerrato said there was like 9 Olineman they would have drafted that all went prior to our pick. If Rienhart pans out, then we had a good draft. We just need to clean house now and build through the draft and free agency. I think if we had cut Jansen, Washington, Springs, and Griffin our record would not be much different. At least it would have allowed us to develop new players. I am torn about Randel El, he did have a good game last night.

I've never been a big CS fan. Always gettin a flag for this or that. He's the best we got on the line this year so it's gonna hurt real bad.

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
Well, for all those Samuels doubters out there, I guess we'll see just how "bad" he was. My guess is that, to all those but the most obstinate, we are going to see just how important Samuels was to this line.

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
In Zorn's press conference he said his #1 mandate for the OL for the rest of the season: "Do NOT get hurt." And he was dead serious when he said it.
That pretty much tells you all you need to know. When a coach is begging for no more injuries to a line that wasn't playing that well when healthy... We're in trouble. GTripp does make a good point though, about San Fran and Cincy's weak D-lines. If these injuries happened before the Dallas/Pitt/NYG/Balt stretch, JC may not be alive right now.

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
Silver lining. - I guess Reinhart wasn't as far along as they wanted or hoped he would be. Based on what I had heard it was questionable whether he was going to be able to start for us next year anyways. Now they need to get him in there and get coached up. Nothing like game experience to fast foward the learning process.

Re: Samuels Done for the Year
I say we put Heyer, Reinhart and Clark in the starting lineup and see what they can do. We have nothing to lose and a lot to gain, experience wise.

We have nothing to lose except Jason Campbell's health and a chance (albeit slim at this point) to make the playoffs.
