Re: Spagnuolo!!

hey sean 'big hurt' taylor...did it ever occur to you to give zorn and campbell more than 14 games to prove that they deserve to be a head coach and a starting quarterback respectively in the NFL?? In their first year, in a new system, with all new head coaches the Redskins are at .500 !!! did anyone expect that going into the season...lets be frank, last year's playoff run was inspirational but essentially a fluke as the Skins laid an egg against a clearly better Seahawks team that promptly lost to their next opponents...All this in an incredibly weak NFC. Zorn did not inherit a playoff team...he got a team that happened to have a lot of things go their way.

No way Zorn should get fired, he has done a tremendous job, he has put the onus on himself, Campbell will be a star in this league, give it another year at least...

Re: Spagnuolo!!

You lost me when you said he could do something withe Carter and Taylor. Sorry but these guys have wat 5 sacks this year and I think no matter what scheme you run these guys should have more sacks with bad coaching. Skill alone should get you 5 to 6 sacks each and they do not have that together.

Re: Spagnuolo!!

No disrespect but get you head out of.. you know. The team needs to stick with Zorn, address some personell issues, review what worked and didn't work for us this season, build some continuity and famliarity with Zorns wco, and I really believe that The Skins can improve to win 3 or 4 more games next year than this year. I know I'm being very optimistic here, but I do believe that IF our personell issues with our lines are addressed, and with the foundation laid this season to impliment the wco, the Skins can become very successful. Hope Hope Hope...

I believe we have more athletes than the Giants do but hey they have a better scheme. I know we want consistency but Zorn and Campbell both need to go. Spagnuolo, Eagles QB coach as defensive coordinator and an assistant from Giants that he may bring with him to be the defensive coordinator would be alright heading into the future. Also m a new special teams coach. What do you guys think?

He brings pressure because he has the talent to do it. Think he can bring pressue with Andre Carter and a washed up Jason Taylor?

I agree Jim. If we don't blow this thing up I expect to see vast improvement in our offense next year. More time in the WCO plus improvement from our rookies. The second year should show improvement from the first game to the last. You don't plant a seed then dig it up and plant another one before the first one had time to grow, it doesn't make sense. I expect a good year next year and a really good year the next. If we address our line problems the won/lost record improves that much faster. If we had a consistent pass rush, all our D.B.'s would've probably made the Pro Bowl.

Thanks 53, I agree whole heartedly. Great point on the pass rush.

Bill Walsh 1979 2-14; Bill Parcells 1983 3-12-1; Jimmy Johnson 1989 1-15; and our own Joe Gibbs 1981 8-8

He was handed a playoff team.

We should be 2-14, not 7-9. The Skins are a joke this year and I place ALL blame on Snyder for hiring Zorn. I wouldn't be so angry about it except for that 6-2 tease -- although at the time I KNEW we werent that good, I wouldnt admit it.
