Sandtrap: the endzone joke was a good one.

the best: The WR/QB joke
Have you ever seen the cheerleader challenge when they have to match the jersey with the picture of the player? HILARIOUS

Did anyone catch it was a joke??

"Name the two ex-Cowboys quarterbacks in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

S Pat Watkins, who answered, "Joe Namath and Troy Aikman." Yep, who can forget ol' Beltway Joe?"

He was not serious people lol, he was being a smart arse.

Governor question I think majority of Americans can barley name that one, so I can see why they got that wrong. How many football players have you ever seen or known that were into politics hardcore? I don't know any really from school or the ones I dated.

1) That was Reilly's joke, not Watkins' joke.
2) You don't have to be into politics "hardcore" to know the governor of the state within which you live. You don't need to be into politics "hardcore" to name governors of other states. If you can't name the governor of your own state, you are just dumb.

Let's face it, the Cowboys locker room is not full of the sharpest knives in the drawer. Heck, some Cowboys have even discovered dinosaurs on vacation, as Marty B wrote in his blog!

I remember seeing Jay Leno and another show where they sometimes ask random questions about who the governor of their state is and there was a lot of "Uh Uh"..I I figure the average American does not know. Why do I think that? Because I went to college (the class was Anatomy & Physiology II) and this brunette girl thought it is ok to use a INK PEN on a SCANTRON test, lol just stupid. Sad part is, the teacher had another student do the same dumb thing in the past.

The part about not being very bright is an 32 NFL team problem. I would rather pass on reading Marty B's blog or anyone's.

I always wondered why you could only use #2 pencils on scantrons. Now I know.

"Scantrons work by running two closely-spaces but separate wires along the columns of dots, and the graphite in soft pencil lead acts to complete a circuit, thereby registering on the machine. A lighter mark from a harder pencil won't have enough graphite and of course there is no graphite in ink."

Only thing to figure out now is how and why they number the different types of pencils. Man this Friday just got crazy.

Edit: And now I know Is there such a thing as a number 1 pencil?

That brunette girl is absolutely correct. At school, we could use either a pencil or a black pen for scantrons. Maybe blue, don't remember. I hate blue pens so that never applied to me.

well, a lot of teachers use the scantron forms but manually grade them.

LOL what must be some new machine or your teacher hand graded it. Pen markings run clear the Professor said it himself. Those machines are calibrated for lead.

Re: Cowboys = Stupidity

I would not say "archrival", actually the Giants-Cowboys rivalry is somewhat larger. Even the players when interviewed say that Washington, they respect, but the Giants and Cowboys players simply hate each other.

It used to be a great rivalry, but no more.

We always will be archrivals. Because the heated past, our history and everything that led up to the riavalry. I dont think it will die off because one team is doing better than the other or other unrelated circumstances. We can be 0-16 and you guys could 16-0 or vice versa and the O-16 team could come up with a win.

If you want to use that the Giants-Cowboys games as a rivalry. Then every NFC East game is a rivarly.

Cowboys vs Redskins -- you couldn't draw it up any better.

It was like that in the past, but not now. It just does not get the draw and interest up as does the Giants-Cowboys rivalry. Unless maybe it is just in the 'Skins fan base.

Case in point. The Redskins-Cowboys game on Nov 22nd is in a 1 PM EST time slot, in other words, NOT nationally televised, but regional coverage
only. That is because of the marketing between the teams. And that time slot traditionally does not draw a large west coast audience because of the time zone difference. Game 2 is a prime time game, but Dallas will always play one of thier two games against a division opponent in a national spot.

Dallas plays one game against Philly, Washington and New York in prime time spots. Then regional spots for the second game for Washington and Philly. Only Dallas-New York have 2 national prime time spots for each game they play against each other.

But look at Cowboys-Giants games for this year, game 1 - Sunday Night Football, nationally televised huge market. And the second game against New York is in the 4:15 time slot, another nationally televised game that also brings the west coast audiences in. Also this game is after week 11, which could get "flexed" to a prime time spot.
