This draft is a very deep draft. I feel like many teams are willing to get picks for under-performing players by shipping them out, even if it's a 5th rounder (Holmes, Carriker). But who will be willing to take Haynesworth, Campbell, and possibly McIntosh except for other teams that are horrible with the draft (Oakland)?

Guess I'll say a pray for ol' DC that Jim Schwartz wants Haynesworth back and Oakland/Buffalo miss out on one of the top 4 QBs and will take Campbell for a 4th rder or something.

You are going to say a prayer that we deal our best player to Detroit?

What is Detroit going to give us that replaces Al? Don't say the second pick, we arent' getting that.

A 4th for JC? Not looking likely.

No, getting their 2nd overall pick doesn't seem possible. I agree.
I'm just not a big fan of Haynesworth as a teammate/player and his absence for these offseason workouts.

I'll be properly shut up if he plays lights out and our D-line is top 5 this year, but I'd rather have a few more higher rd picks to shore up the bigger need- O-line.

I meant that I hope some teams miss on positions of need they are targeting and are willing to trade for AH, Campbell after Thursday night so we can get a a few more picks- like a 2nd rd, 3rd rd, and 5th rd or something.

We'll see when it's all over on Saturday.

I hope he's better than Cody Glenn, just to put a little perspective on what a 5th rounder could be.

Cody Glenn is rare... put in real perspective all 32 teams will have passed on these players 4 times and some teams even will have passed on these guys 5 times. While only 13 teams passed on Carriker once when he was drafted.

Your point is?

My point is that we got someone who's likely to be better than the average 5th round pick. If you look at the whole 5th round in the 2009 draft, there are a ton of nobodies there.

Wow...hopefully getting Haynesworth off our roster will yield a pick higher than a 5th rounder.

You would really consider trading Godzilla for a 5th rounder? Seriously?

Could someone post a brief bio/stats about Carriker?
I don't know much about him.

He was in St. Louis with Haslett as his DC, yes?

Ok, I think I have the details (still no confirmation):

We traded our 5th for Carriker and their 5th

Bump for clarification: It's not their 5th (as in the first pick in that round), it's a 5th they got from Philly (as in closer to the bottom of the round)
