I still have hope for both DT and Kelly to become good wr I just hope its with the Redskins.

I still have hope for Devin, Malcolm however I view as a lost cause, seeing how deep this WR class is, I am sure we will pick one up. What I am excited about though is Keiland Williams, I feel he can become our own version of Kevin Faulk, but I am a LSU homer.

Team coming to thier senses. Long overdue. Torain hasn't impressed me though. Simpson looks to be good unless he's hasn't shown well in practice. Maybe just a gamer.

Banks has to take his own preventive measures to ensure ball security. I think I read somewhere that some coach(Martz?) taught his speedy but lighter WRs to always dive to the ground when the defender is about to get them so they would not get slammed or stood up and stripped.

Gonna have to watch the Bears and my man, Cutler, again this week.

I guess Saunders coached them that way.

Trying to remember previous posts on other message boards is a pain.

Whatever, the point still stands.

Refs will do whatever it takes to bend, I mean, interpret the rules for no good reason.

Isnt DT the prototypical body type for a WR?

Can you place Banks on the PS as long as he clears waiver?

Re: Brandon Banks cut, Ryan Torain bumped to active roster

I know Shanny is a Torain guy, so I am assuming he is well-suited for the zone blocking. It would be nice if he turned to be a solid producer too, since the Skins haven't done well in recent years growing their own cheap talent. I am interested to see what Williams can do as well. I think youth is always the way to go in the backfield. And having Portis around will still provide a vetran presence.

I guess it makes sense though, because even though Banks made the roster, it didn't look like he'd really contribute at all this season. Torain though will contribute. Hell I'd sign BB though to the practice squad immediately.

I'd of course have to see it differently. We have Portis, and Williams at RB now. We just picked up Simpson, who I don't think can be put on the PS, although I could be wrong. So that means we have 3 RB active already even though one is still learning the offense. Why activate 4?

Also I'd say I agree with you that Banks was not used but I think his usage should have been explored more. Meaning the team used him as a WR but didn't during the regular season. He's a good KR/PR and they didn't use him during the regular season. He did extremely well with the screen passes and the team didn't even try him in that roll during the regular season. I also think they should have explored using him in the Wild Cat. no he's not a QB but neither was Portis. All he would need to do is run to one side of the field with blockers and throw a short 10-15 yrd pass back across the field to whomever in the open.

I just hope no one scoops him up and he's put on the practice squad.
