Re: QB needy teams
Alex Smith will be a free agent but he's likely returning to SF and in all honesty he doesn't have the best arm. Jason Campbell surprisingly looks like he'll be available...but it won't be here. Josh Johnson is a possibility. But let's see...are there any other QBs out there...anyone we could...chase
![]() No, but seriously I think you go Beck and a rookie for 2012

I think Kyle liked him some, Mike not as much.

Re: QB needy teams
well i imagine orton would be available too, and garrard... the list is so exciting! we can throw boller on there too... he's only failed in 2 or 3 cities so far.
seriously though, we haven't had a good solid qb in the 8-9 years i've been watching the team, so it's about time. |

Re: QB needy teams
My guess is that we bring in a Qb in F/A , as well as draft one ( rd 1 or 2 ) . I just hope we draft well in the first 4 rds ( 5 picks ) and have a F/A period like this years . I heard on the Radio last night that DE J. Jenkins was walking around Redskins Park and looked like he was ahead of schedule .

Re: QB needy teams
but but he's a winner? We need winners! Even if being a winner means you played for a team that regularly recruited four and five star players.

Re: QB needy teams
So for those in favor of getting a QB, I know we've been writing off Andrew Luck, because he will be the first overall pick. BUT, the latest report out there which has been gaining heat, is that Andrews Dad wants to control andrews situation as to where he goes. The story first got reported by Albert Breer from NFLN. What IF we finished mid round, and offered a team like Indy 3 first rounders for him? I would do it. I feel like his dad doesn't want him going to a team like Indy with Peytons uncertainty or a team like the chiefs or dolphins with their head coaching uncertainty. I'm not saying that theres a good chance we get him, but theres definitely not no chance we get him.

Re: QB needy teams
No way Indy or the Chiefs pass on Luck. The only way we, or anyone else has a shot is if a team with a "established" young qb, ie Bradford, gets the first pick. At that point bidding would be outlandish, and probably not worth it. Now, maybe he pulls an Elway, and refuses to eventually sign, and so the team then has to deal him, but I can't imagine Luck not wanting to step into the Colts driver seat, even if it means sitting behind Manning for 1 - 2 years.

Re: QB needy teams
I'm hoping the Rams gets the first pick, and we can make a push for Bradford

Re: QB needy teams
That would be pretty crazy. If there was any hint that Bradford could be available, you'd have to think we'd push hard for him.

Re: QB needy teams
Why not make a push for Luck? They would likely be interested in trading the #1 pick for a boatload of picks. Whether its Bradford or LUck, the price will be crazy, but I think it'd be worth it to give up a lot to get Luck.

Re: QB needy teams
Well, if they want to trade Luck then sure let's go after him. I would think they'd be more inclined to move Bradford. For a few reasons, not least of which is compared to when Bradford was the no. 1 pick Luck's contract is going to be so much more manageable for the Rams. If the choice is keep Luck over Bradford at a fraction of the price, I think they take that.
