Re: how to get a QB if youre pulling the trigger
No way the Saints let Brees walk he means everthing to the team and the city of New Orleans.

Re: how to get a QB if youre pulling the trigger
1. I agree with SS in just checking on Brees, if that happened I would still draft one of the Arizona QB in the second round.
2. I would offer Indy this year's 1st and 2nd and next year's 1st and 3rd for the Luck pick. 3. I would offer the Rams this year and next years 1st pick and a conditional 4th or 3rd round pick for Bradford if they like RG3. 4. With TJ Yates hype, I would check Schaub injury status and what it would take to move him. 2nd round and 5th for him. I would still draft a QB this year in the late 1st, 2nd or 3rd round. 5. I would offer this year and next year 1st pick plus a conditional 4th or 3rd this year to move up with Minnesota to take RG3. 6. I would peak at Hoyer in New England and offer a 4th or 3rd round pick for him, still drafting a QB in the second round this year. 7. If there is no move up scenario, I like the suggestion by Gtripp to sign Henne and still go with one of the Arizona QBs in the 2nd round.

I think they give mccoy one more year. Third year is suppose to be the QB make or break year.
They have two first round picks so they can get him some weapons and/or protection. Plus there defense wasn't that bad last year. |

weapons, yeah, protection, no. Their OL is one of the best in the league. If you put a good QB behind it, they'd probably be getting sacked less than 10 times a year.

Tough predicament with the Browns, they really have no offensive weapons. And while they could trade up to get a RG3, they have a chance of improving their team a lot by not trading up.

Nonsense we are the richest team in the NFL. Nothing comes between us and our new big name free agent.

Peyton Manning and a second round QB.
If RGIII falls to us at 6 I may thing about taking him. Not going to happen but it is possible.

Re: how to get a QB if youre pulling the trigger
My bet is that RG3 will go to the Browns. I think if Blackmon is still available at 6 then they would probably go for a trade with us. My proposal to them for our 6 is their 22nd pick from Atlanta, their 2nd rounder and Colt McCoy. I like McCoy and think he can still be great in the NFL. I'd love to get RG3 but I just don't see any way to trade up to get him. With the 22nd I want CB Janoris Jenkins. IMO the two greatest needs are CB and QB and this would solve both and get an additional 2nd round pick.
I think this makes sense for both teams. Colt is the last regimes guy and Shurmer and Holmgrem get their guy with their first pick then get the best wr to throw it to. Colt can learn from a veteran QB which he wasn't able to do in Cleveland and the Skins get a young, exciting QB.

Re: how to get a QB if youre pulling the trigger
I still really like Colt McCoy, though there's no denying that this season he missed a couple of throws that he really has to make. I feel like at times he gets held to a different standard than Tebow (who, to be fair, is held to a standard never seen before in pro sports) and Bradford (who apparently isn't held to any standard at all) simply because he was drafted in the third round. Oh well, good for the smart teams I suppose.
McCoy should share some of the blame for the ineptitude of the Browns offense. They have the OL (though it was injured this year, which could explain the offensive decline), but they need both better throws and much better catches and routes to be a consistently competent NFL offense.
