Bowe: I know there are people saying it's possible but I myself haven't heard any strong interest

Colston: Matty may recall that I told him 2-3 years ago that we liked Colston a lot and were going after him. But we're going to have to outbid the Saints and Jaguars for him (and Bowe maybe to J'Ville as well), and Allen does not intend to get into bidding wars for them

Royal: Almost a lock...but then again so was Davin Joseph last year

As for the draft, I've only heard of interest in Wright, Criner, and Rainey

And Moss and Armstrong are definitely on the bubble
Colston would be a nice addition, all 6'4" of him. Of course, durability is a concern with him, but when healthy, he's a true #1 and a nice big target for Luck. (please let that rumor come true) If we don't get far in the bidding war, Eddie Royal isn't that great a consolation prize. I've never been impressed with Garcon either, seems like he's had a lot drops at key times in drives/games.

Hear of any other FA targets at other positions?

Would also love Rainey late, but his skill set is pretty similar to Helu. As a Gator alum though, I've enjoyed watching him make a lot of defenders miss and run through arm tackles. He could be special, definitely would be a good replacement for Banks returning kicks.

He would be a Skin right now had it not been for AJ Smith playing hardball. I remember there being huge interest from us but weren't about to pay the price that AJ wanted.

My guess is we land Colston.

He's looking for a big money deal, the kind that Snyder isn't afraid to dish out.

Yeah but how much of Colston's success is Drew Brees? Because of all the WR cores in the NFL I feel NO's compliments each other the best not saying they are the best but:

Marcus Colston- Possession WR
Lance Moore- Good route runner
Devery Henderson- Stretches the field
Robert Meachem- Good hands

They each do one thing pretty well but none of them are spectacular but I would like Colston, but I would still draft a WR.

I think you could also say it the other way around too. How much of Bree's success is due to guys like Colston or more recently Graham? How many times this year did you see Brees just toss a ball up in their direction and they make a play?

No doubt Brees is a monster, but I don't think Colston is a complete bum without him.

Very true the only thing is Colston will be 29 during the season and given our track record when signing other teams FAs I would still draft at least 2 WRs this year.

Although I really like Colston I share your concerns above and agree that we should have WR's (especially a field stretcher) in our draft shopping cart.

Re: 2012 Free Agency Wish List

I want Eddie Royal. I agree that we probably will not get Colston because of the bidding wars but hes the other WR I want. I am so on the fence about FA QBs that I keep going back and forth on FA vs Draft so instead of putting it on my wishlist and looking for it under the tree, I am going to casually mention it to my parents so they will use their best judgement and hope for something awesome in the stocking ;-)

Eddie royal to me is nothing more than a PRKR, he's had like one good year and that was his rookie year

Some would have said the same thing about Moss when he was in NY. I am by no means saying Royal is our savior at WR.... He just makes the most sense when it comes to signing value vs signing possibility. He would be an upgrade from Moss, would contribute on ST, and would be cheap as we have "home field advantage" in signing him because he is from the area.

X2. I see no reason to sign Royal what so ever. Guys like him can easily be found.

During one of the Denver games that I saw this season, announcers reported that Royal is underutilized, underappreciated, and undervalued in Denver. His best season was under Shanahan, and evidently MS likes him.

Game announcers further reported that Royal was almost certain to consider a move to Washington. I have not seen enough of him to make an intelligent comment/evaluation of his skills, but I do believe that he will be a Redskin in 2012.

Yes, their good buddies.

I was joking with a buddy of mine the other day that said that the Redskins are building a Westfield High School backfield with Royster at RB, Royal at WR, and Mike Glennon at QB (coming out next year)
