We are going to need a backup guys, hopefully one not named Grossman.

He's better then Rex...but if our upgrade at QB still leaves us with the worst QB in the NFC East is it really the right choice?

Orton + a rookie other then Luck or Griffin is not good enough.

How about Orton and Luck or Griffin?

I'd be fine with that, because you know if Luck or Griffin was here they'd be starting from day one.

I think I'm allergic to that menu.

Love it...but with Luck I wouldn't even care who the bridge QB is because I would hope he would start from day 1.

Luck is definitely starting right away, but you need a veteran backup.

Orton would be an excellent backup. Luck and orton is basically a dream scenario.

Agreed. But we have more leverage in a trade up for Luck if we have a viable alternative on the roster. Moreover, Orton makes a good spot starter in case of unLucky injury.

I hope MS has a better plan, but this would be an improvement over Grossman/Beck.

Re: Mike Lombardi Links Kyle Orton to the Redskins

Orton = Grossman in my book. Gets drafted by the Bears and doesn't turn out to be a franchise QB, gets traded to the Bronco's and does not do very well turns out he's not a franchise QB otherwise they would not have traded him to KC where amazingly enough turns out he was not their answer to having a franchise QB.

I don't t see the novelty and hope the coaching staff does not either.

That's what I'm saying. Orton is basically the same guy has Grossman. Just don't see any reason why we'd sign him.

i wouldn't say that, i think he is one slight notch above grossman, his overall numbers are slightly better and his td to int ratio is worlds better. grossman has 56 td's to 60 int's for his career, thats just god awful, it's hard to say anyone else is that bad. that said i don't want orton here, the last time he was in fedex he got benched for chris simms if i'm not mistaken, talk about terrible qb's.

Yeah, because he got hurt. I remember him burning us on a bomb to Marshall and we probably lose that game if he didn't get hurt.
