gotta say I was getting down on the team but this win, and the manner they did it, makes these next two games huge. 1 win and we are in the hunt and 2 wins puts us tied for first(assuming packers beat the giants). pretty good turnaround if it happens

Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized?
If we win next week it will be "We need to lock up Mike Shanahan for the next couple of years"

Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized?
I really wanted to bump the "Should Mike be fired thread" but it's locked. Would of loved to re-live all those glorious opinions from the torch lighters who now are the same people rocking Mike Shanahan T-shirts

Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized?
I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the idea of giving a guy a five year contract, swearing to be patient knowing the job may take five years, and then wanting to fire him halfway thru his contract because the job isn't done yet.

Re: Should Mike Shanahan Be Canonized?
Personally I want to see progress at the midway point - otherwise I want to cut my losses and start fresh while my prize posession - RG-3 is still a spring chicken. Maybe not your take on the situation but its not mind boggling that the 5 win seasons are making people wonder if it was a good hire is it? This all however is a discussion for another thread. This thread is about how we are going to honor Mike for that friggin big win today against the birds! We manage a win on turkey day and couple that with a Gints loss to the Packers and the Redskins are playing for the division lead on MNF against the Giants! - AWESOME

On top of that theres the roster turnover which happens with virtually any coaching change but seeing the troubles with Denvers offense after Shanny left makes me more hesitant to pull the plug. As many Denver fans will tell you their offensive line went from being a top 5 unit to a liability with virtually the same personnel in less then a year.

Sorry. The game was rather a bore. Sure, a couple of long passes... but, really, who would enjoy play calling like that?

Can we re-open the phoenix? This one kind of fizzled out.
