Re: Taylor Jacobs
Patten's best feature: he's not Moss. He's got the speed and the hands but lacks the 'tude. Don't get me wrong, though -- I hope that they both have stellar seasons.

Re: Taylor Jacobs
i was worried about our reciever corps but even "IF" Jacobs has a good season i thinkn we will be ok cause we will have consistency in our recieving corps and it will provide continuity to the whole team.

Regarding Jacobs, I expect him to come into camp as the #2 receiver and if he stays healthy have a solid season. Moss, Jacobs and Patten is a decent trio. |

Re: Taylor Jacobs
I really don't see Moss as being a problem from here on, seems like a down to earth guy and a Gibbs guy to boot, we will find out pretty quick if our WR's last season were a big part of our passing game or lack there of.
I think Coles is going to go a long way to proving that one way or the other. If he start's burning up the league next season then we know it wasen't his toe that held him back, if not, then blame could very well fall on both him and Gardner. |

Re: Taylor Jacobs
I'm not saying that Moss should be mentioned in the same breath as T.O. for missing voluntary workouts. I am saying that someone who (a) hasn't played a down for the team or (b) done anything to justify the oversized contract that he demanded yet feels comfortable skipping voluntary-in-name-only workouts evinces the beginnings of an attitude problem.
The fact that his agent advised him to skip the workouts is irrelevant. Being a team player does not have to be important to Rosenhaus; it should be important to Moss. |

My thought is if your under contract you should be there, but I can have a little more understanding for Moss who was just traded and in the fianl year of his deal, rather than TO who has a year with his new team with a brand new contract, at some point enough is enough, I really hope philli play's hard ball with him, and let's him know he isn't bigger than the team. |

Re: Taylor Jacobs
Champ Bailey said the hardest WR to cover in practice was Taylor Jacobs.
The kid has potential, no one doubts that. Just if he gets on the field and we actually throw his ball his way enough for him to make plays is the question.

Re: Taylor Jacobs
2nd rounder - first pick of our draft after we got Coles. This board was pissed we didn't take Mike Doss. I'd rather have Jacobs/Taylor than Doss/Anyone.

I agree, but that draft I wanted to deal up for Andre Johnson, he obviously would have worked out far Better than the Coles situation, I really can't remember what we would have had to give up to get him though. |

Before. But he was I believe a freshman when that took place, obviously Taylor was much more experienced and playing in a supereior college offense, the Champ complement about Jacob's is probably the most telling, he's a guy who has had to cover the best the NFL has to offer. |

Re: Taylor Jacobs
Here's my philosophy. Draft a player. Develop the player. Play the player. Pay the player... or trade him.
