Funniest thing was on the "kiss me" cam promotion, where they zoom in on couples to kiss on the jumbo-tron, they zeroed in on Champ and G-Wiz, the mascot, and G-Wiz jumped on him.

Just thought you guys should know.
I would've booed not only Champ but Smoot too..........back your bags and leave town already Smoot.....On NFL Network, Vikings cam that it was quiet without Randy Moss.....but all the Viking players predicted that SMOOT would fill the void.................

Daseal is being real. No offense to sportscurmedgeon, but I like the fact that Daseal doesn't say negative things for the sake of saying them. It's always a good idea to have another perspective to compare and base opinions on. That's what makes this site great. If we all were spouting puppy dogs and rainbows, we would be writers over at redskins.com.

It's amazing that all you guys don't have NFL jobs, seeing as how you're all geniuses when it comes to running an NFL franchise.

Should we go out and give Marcus Washington a payraise because he outperformed Arrington? Was Samuels the best lineman last year, no. However we had no gripe giving him one of the most massive contracts in Redskins history. He said that, but didn't walk the walk with other guys. Also, Smoot doesn't have any questions about his durability, and has been here thick and thin through this team. In my opinion, that makes him worth more than Springs.
You realy can't use the Samuels example in your argument he already had a huge contract before Gibbs was here. They just restructured his deal to help with cap space. I don't have a problem with a player leaveing for more money in todays NFL but would perfer not loosing one. What would one of use do if we had been with a company for a long time and were offered the same job with another company for more money?

Re: Portis, Champ, and Smoot

Hey, we complained about the Redskins not being fiscally responsible in the past. The team is trying to be more responsible with money. You're gonna lose a "star" player from time to time. Can't have it both ways.

Smoot was loved (and still is) by 'Skins fans because he did have a pretty good season this year and he had a great personality. Gibbs did think of Smoot as being a core Redskin. But, so what? We lost Bailey - clearly the top CB in the league, and our defense improved. We can't give every player we like the exact contract he wants - there comes a time when you draw the line.

The Eagles are having people upset over money (not just TO, Cory Simon, ETC) and they've been winning a lot lately. Just how the game is.
They back door the playoffs every year, and now we have gibbs back. He is trying to turn the team around and only time will tell... but I can tell you this,

Mike Tice Sucks and Minnesota might have gotten better this off season but who knows...

No way will he get closer to a SB there than here...
