Just not getting the O'Brien circle jerk, let's see what he does after a few years.

I've got nothing against him, just don't get all the man love going on for a 2nd year HC.

Re: Hard knocks 2015 texans
I am not saying he is Vince L. but I like him over Jay. Anyone ever checkout Jays past? They guy is a career UFL and Arena football coaching star. Oh wow!

Re: Hard knocks 2015 texans
For one thing, many people believe O'Brien will finally be the Belichick protege who will succeed as an NFL HC
Perhaps more significantly though, how he handled being HC at Penn State following the Paterno/Sandusky mess is what really had teams intrigued about him

I don't roll that way. Not enamored with Jay until he proves otherwise either. But I see no reason to be on Bill O'B's jock at this point.

Re: Hard knocks 2015 texans
From what I took away from episode one is that the Redskins have taken a step foward to being that tough physical team we hope for. In one scene Ryan Mallet said something about his team being the softest in the league. Then continuing on to say that they(Redskins) are pushing us around and drilling us into the ground. Now hey I know, the Texans aren't the toughest in the league but it shows we're taking baby steps foward!

Hard knocks 2015 texans
The episode definitely showed the Texans in a more favorable light during the joint practices (to be expected of course), doesn't really match up with reality from what I've read.

They did show Jones running over the Texans rookie corner, forgot his name. He's got a hot sister. |

Watt abuses everyone, and cherry picking plays can make any team look good. They didn't show the battles that Scherrf won against him of course. |

This isnt an attempt to justify the pick, but its not the end of the world either. Whether Scherff was a good pick or not is going to be tied to how good he becomes compared to how good Leonard Williams becomes, not whether JJ Watt can beat him in his first ever training camp. |

With that said, more power to him. Watt's seems like a decent enough guy. He works hard and seems to keep his nose out of trouble. He's a 20 something guy living the high life and not being a total ass about it. In my twenties, if HK turned me into the latest super-cool, football-hero, Mr. Terrific to sell some ads, I am pretty sure my ego would have grown (along with my stupidity) exponentially. At the end of the day, HK is entertainment TV. HBO isn't there to present a balanced look at a team or any particular player. They are there to find or create stories that get eyeballs on the screen. Sometimes that means ginning up some drama, sometimes that means giving the fanboys what they want. Tuesday, the fanboys were the big winners.
