Re: Remember the Titans: Pregame Thread

I think we're in for a long day. Titans won't score that much but we may not score at all. I like what JJ did last week but it easily could have went the other way.

For those who are negative towards JNO.

Josh Norman has 70 consecutive games allowing six or fewer catches. It’s the longest active streak in the NFL and is three games away from tying Darrelle Revis for the longest streak in the PFF era (2006-present).

Re: Remember the Titans: Pregame Thread

Bringing my exuberant optimism back into this thread:
Schneed said that Henry has been on a tear, and that's true. 2 weeks ago he ran for 238 yds, and last week 170 yards. BEFORE those 2 weeks, he ran for (most recent game first)
40, 30, 46, 58, 27,33,21,56,24,57,56,and 26
I don't know what sparked the last two weeks run totals (it was against Jax and NYG good defenses, but teams out of contention).
We can and should stop Henry. From there it's on the pass rush and JGruden.

The offensive line sparked it. They put it all together. PFF had them as the top ranked run blocking unit in the NFL and yielded only two pressures to the Giants.

We'll have to win at the line of scrimmage, that's where Derrick Henry has suddenly made his money. He's building up that head of steam because the line is keeping guys off of him until he's two yards past the line of scrimmage. We will have to bring our hard hats to deal with this group, this is different than shutting down Leonard Fournette whose line is just not the same caliber.

I do like our defensive line. But do I like our second level? I don't know, they need to show me they're done with fitting into the wrong gaps and stupid shit like that. Which is basically asking me to put faith in Greg Manusky and...

You know what I'm going to say.

Titans offense doesn't scare...and the defense really doesn't scare me.....what scares me is our offense and defense.

You said it better than I could. You're off the hook for being terrible with QBR.

Re: Remember the Titans: Pregame Thread

I think our D shows up for this one, I just don't see much from the O. I hope JJ can manke some plays and get a few good passes downfield (15 or so yards).

Well timed, play action shots...we should always be trying to hit a couple.

Josh making plays outside the pocket with his feet is more of a problem for the Tennessee defense.

Id say we need to be creative, but Ive been saying that for the previous 10 weeks with Alex. What reason to believe we will start doing it now?

Limited threats make us not creative, its easier to do so when u have guys that can get open and actually catch (VDavis). Is Reed done? Or can he play this week?

Re: Remember the Titans: Pregame Thread

Got my answer.

Tight end Jordan Reed has been ruled out for Saturday's game at Tennessee. Tight end Vernon Davis is questionable with a concussion. He developed symptoms Wednesday and did not practice. He's now in the concussion protocol. Receiver Josh Doctson is questionable with a lower...

We can't because you, instead of Bruce thought of it.

Nobody would dream of a late hit on JJ if he was there.

He knows where to park himself on the sideline, too: right next to Gruden. Just in case Gruden wants another playcaller.

“I will be ready to roll,” Peterson said. “I’ll be by his side again, I’ll tell you that.”

AD is hungry for more carries.. Pretty remarkable at 33 Years of age to be doing this for a whole season. Nobody is talking about him in the national media but I would imagine he has to be Comeback player of the year right?

It's great to see a guy with a HOF career and a shit load of money still hungry and wanting to compete.

There are guys on this team that are in the final year of their contract and they are just coasting waiting for the next payday.

How often do you see a guy crank it up the final year of their rookie contract then go back to coasting? We can't even get that one good year out of a guy.
