I found a picture of some of us hanging out after wins discussing replacing Heinicke.

And even though the QB at the helm was not a first-round draft choice (like the 2-4 QB making $25+MM/year), or any draft choice, for that matter, would you want to move off the current Qb at $4.75MM for TWO years or look for a costly upgrade because the virtue-signaling optics are better. You guys are freaking NEVER happy. You are getting the deal of the century with Heinicke, a COVID QB, but the KAREN in you cannot be happy because it is unconventional and organic, and against "expert analysis".
Enjoy the ride with a kid that plays hard for the right reasons. The defense is awesome, the TE's and receivers are awesome, and the QB knows who butters his bread, and that is #17. If one were to ask McLaurin with whom he wants to play, CW never gave him enough chances. Heinicke maybe too many. But your stud is your stud, and TH does just that. Please keep trying to "upgrade" one of the few QBs in two decades to actually excite the fanbase and achieve some results, but for the KARENS and DARRINS that post here, it just does not look good enough for these fools to impress their elite friends when drinking shitty wine and pontificating about how much better things could be. Go get bent.

Our QB of the future is either Howell or not on the roster yet. No way we should go into next year with the same 3 QBs. Draft another guy. Let Heinicke, Howell, and possibly the other drafted QB battle it out in the off-season. Hopefully Howell can win it.

Yeah we are winning because of defense and the run game and in spite if our limitations in the passing game. TH is better than Wentz because he helps hide our weak ass pass pro by moving. He doesn’t see the field well at all and has a weak arm.
You can win with defense and a strong run game but it doesn’t mean we don’t need a quarterback going forward.

I was watching KC last night and imagine if we found a Mahomes type of QB. We have all these pass catchers but we're a run first team right now. It is what it is but the organization has to find that guy under center. This potentially could be such an explosive offense. Maybe Howell can be that guy in the future.

I watched Howell all 3 years at UNC, every game...he will not be Mahomes...but he could be a Josh Allen type QB, but he's not as big. Good arm and tough runner...it's his decision making that will make or break him. Doesn't seem we will have a top 10-15 pick in the draft, so I say we roll with Howell and TH next season (hopefully through the new owner transition), play Howell and see what he has...and if not, trade up in the next draft to get UNC's current QB Drake Maye...because that kid has IT!

Game was over at 7-0.

This defense is dangerous.

Re: Houston has a problem post game

I don't get to say this often, but I had a GREAT football weekend!

1) Washington finally beat a team we were supposed to, and by a good margin.
2) The Gamecocks beat #5 Tennesse.

Game balls for everybody!!!

Allen, Payne, and Sweat are a real problem right now for opposing offenses.

If Chase ever comes back and returns to form it will be unreal. I hope he is back in time to put the nail in Danny Dimes coffin.

If those 3 stay healthy we will make a playoff push

Even more happy we were able to extend with McLaurin, in case we can't reach a deal with Payne.

We can use the franchise tag on Payne for a year if needed. He is playing too well to just let him walk and hope Mathis can return healthy and get anywhere near replacing that production.

You're right, our d-line is a problem, and we should keep it as such through at least 2023.

Let’s not forget the back ups, Toohill, Smith-Williams, Obada, the dumb white Jumpy Geathers (he’s been a great replacement for Matt I. and will make an impact).

The run defense has been fucking stout. We completely zeroed out their rookie runner

Re: Houston has a problem post game

Wentz was bashed WAY More on this board than TH ever has.. In fact most of us all agree that he's a gamer with heart and a good leader. The issue is you can't hide the lack of arm talent with him, Sam Howell could be a better version of TH and if he is why be mad at that? If he's not then draft a QB in 2024
